I apologize for making another thread, but we really need a reality check here. We Let the playbook go to New England..this loss should have both predictable, and preventable. Do you think a player like Woodhead could be here for two years, and not absorb the playbook? And given that..at 24-3 this was a game if Schitty calls a fade to Edwards instead of a NO PLAY ACTION POST PATTERN with 9 in the box from the 10. This game looks far worse than it is. Two things. The offensive coordinator has to go. Period. The entire coaching staff is too arrogant to go to NE without installing a new play book. I hope they've learned that.
the only reason why i agree with this, Hobbes.....is because Schotty calls the same fucking plays over and over and over again. Schotty is certainly Martyball Jr.
Rex won't fire Schotty. Brian will either take a HC position with another team based off of an overachieving 2010 season, or he'll stay another year.
Except Marty likes to run it. Brian thinks sending a split end and a wideout 20 yards deep is a play. But can you really disagree that we sent the playbook north, and this was predictable?
Then we need to make a Heaven's Gate pact right fucking now..... Everyone, grab your F*ng Nikes and buckle up!
My only point in making the thread, was that we let the playbook go north, and while we are all pissed.....this was predictable. NE gets F*d in Chitown, and we beat Miami...it's all good.
It happens all the time in the NFL. So many players are released after a few years of service and then end up on the their rivals. Woodhead going to NE had no affect on the outcome of this game. Pats picked him up cuz they needed an RB after Faulk went down. The fact that Woodhead happened to be a Jet is a coincidence. How come he wasn't able to contribute in the first meeting? I know he had just gotten there but how long did Belichick needed to extract our offensive playbook out of his little brain. Belichick needed none of that. He had more video hours on us than the number of hair on Woodhead's goatee.
you point is that your an idiot and blame the bad play on something irrelevant. If this was such an issue, why didn't Rex gain more "insight" from Crable, someone he brought in a few weeks ago. He had been with the Pats for 3 years.
Don't you think Bill Bellichick has a pretty damn good idea what Schottenheimer calls by now? He doesn't need a magical woodhead to figure it out. The guy has all kinds of film.
it was a learning experience it will be a turning point in rex's career. he learned a lot last night and will never let a team do that to him again. if you dont think this loss will haunt rex for the rest of his days as a coach you are mistaken. the only thing is, is that rex, unlike some other jet coaches weve had in the recent past, is a fighter. and this is his first job, and he needs it just as much as we need him. i trust he will pull through, mostly because i have to, but also because i like his brand of football, and hell i like him.
We smoked them in the second half earlier in the season. I'm an idiot ? Go back and listen to Brady's presser. The only difference, is this time...they KNEW what we were doing, and we were too arrogant to change.
WSW...It's not What he calls.....its what the calls are Now you're denying the obvious. We play this pick a player dump a player all the time. Now it happens that we let a guy go, who has not been a fringe player, but a roster guy for tw years, then we go to NE....and they look like they know everything we do before we do it....? Can you really chalk that up to chance?
P.S. Einstein. It's You're an idiot. At least learn the f*ng language before you try to insult someone.
Wouldn't the same have applied last year when the Jets signed Kevin O'Connell just hours after the Patriots cut him? And O'Connell was the backup in 2008 when Brady went down... it's not like he didn't know their offense. This stuff happens all the time. I'm pretty sure coaches deal with it however they have to.
You must have missed the brainless Schottenheimer thread. Also, the main difference is, the Pats changed their offense when they ditched Mandy Ross.
No he wasn't. Pats signed him on Sept 18th while we played them the next day, so I take my comments back in that case. But if Pats wanted to extract info from him, they would have signed him long time ago. Him or Clowney or whoever we released.
Their offense has always been the same. Only difference is, without Moss, Pats don't take as many shots down deep as they used to. Their bread and butter is in the quick passing and zone blocking game.
