when you talk as much as he does you open yourslef to more criticism, it doesn't mean we don't like him anymore as I would guess all Jet fans love him b/c of what he has done so far but last night was a coaching loss. That was one of our biggest regular season games in history and our team didn't show up so we all have a right to be pissed at Rex.
Being critical is one thing, but you have guys on this board making fat jokes and basically talking the way Dolphin & Patriot fans do about us. That is ridiculous. The man is about to make the playoffs for the second time in his first two years as a head coach.
Somebody led him into the question. His first words about the score were "not necessarily". "sounded like"? These reporters suck.
Dude... Really??? Rex and Crew deserved to bashed ad-nausium today, Shottenheimer should be fired, and Rex needs to take a good long drink of STFU and coach. we were un-prepared, set back early in the game by STUPID decisions by the coaching staff, and WTF was was the play calling... Rex was chasing points from the outset... you don't chase 3 points in the first quarter... IDIOT!
Rex did not complain, he said the Jets might have done the same thing and that what was done would be remembered. I think every Jets fan should remember this game, because all teams will decline sooner or later. An I don't care how young the Pats are getting, that team goes as Brady goes. An lets face it, I hate that SOB but he is special, like Farve and Montana specail. The day will come when the Pats will have either an aging Brady or no Brady at all. It is then when not only us but many teams will begin to take out years of frustration on the Pats and there fans ......An I assure you that day will come.....
anyone who has said one negative word (aside from quit the shit talk on the field. what the fuck was holmes doing with that catch celebration after a down 17-0 first down? if you want to shit talk, dont let the team do it.) about rex should be shot and forced to follow a new team. in that order. its one game dipshits.
Listen, we all love Rex, but when you have 10 days to prepare for the biggest game of the season against your biggest divison rival, and you expouse as much bravado as he does, you deserve to be bashed with criticism when your team loses 45-3 on national tv. That's just the way it is.
rex runs the D, the D was humiliated last night by a team that has average talent around the QB. Our team was not prepared in any way to play in that game, this loss is all on rex. We still love him but he did an atrocious job last night and in the week and half leading up to the game.
It just isn't in his nature to flop over like a beaten puppy. Fine by me. I'd have been fine if he just left it at "we got our ass stomped, period".
Maybe RR should spend more time figuring out how to improve our D rather then constantly flapping his lips. :jets:
