...an average to above average football team. Doesn't matter how many big name players we've got, we are no where near an elite team. The result of this game really isn't even all that important for the overall scheme of things. Even if we come back and win the division, our defense is no where near good enough to make a deep run. Face it boys, we're average.
If 9-3 is average I'll take it. Have a lot of good pieces, but obviously there are holes on the team. Lack of pass rush, and safety being the big problems.
That will teach you to buy into the hype machine won't it.. We're not great, we're not the Panthers either. Like you said, we're average to above average depending on which team shows up on any given week. Going forward, Rex needs to do more coaching and alot less TALKING!
The whole league is average this year. Barring a disaster the Jets are going to be in the playoffs and have as good of a shot as anyone in the AFC. The team plays like shit at home anyway so I'm not sure how much of a difference home field would make.
We suck. Average would be losing by 2 touchdowns or less. Getting blown out against the worst defense in the NFL makes us average?
Ah at least tomorrow morning the bandwagon will be able to move alot quicker since we will have dumped bout 75% of the load!
Why do losses bring out these irrelevant and no-name posters? Where are you guys when things are good? Fuck off already.
Sorry, but 9-3 isn't average. 9-3 is good no matter who you beat or how you beat them. Sure, we all expected the team to show up tonight but this happens. The Patriots got spanked by the Browns a few weeks ago and the Pats are a much better team than them. Going into NE in December isn't easy (25 or maybe 26 game winning streak now) and they are proving it tonight in dominating fashion.
Calm the fuck down. This isn't the attittude we need. Sure this game was pathetic, but we need to move on from this. This is a lesson to the Jets and Rex Ryan, never, ever take alot of time off from practice from a game. It has deffinetlt hurt us this season and this has to stop.
9-3 makes us good? That's your logic? When was the last really good complete football game we played?
Damn, I hate New England. Yet another week of the media on Brady's "Johnson". The Jets lack of pass rush is really hurting them.
The Jets are a team that beats teams worse than them and loses to teams better than they are. We know exactly where they stand--between, probably, 8th and 12th in the league. Not nearly elite, but a solid team. What we thought we'd be early on, and in the preseason. Just not legitimate Super Bowl contenders.
