Play is not overturned. This is a perfect example of why these replay decisions shouldn't be made by an official on the field - Bucs have to wonder about that after they see the replay.
New Orleans at Atlanta- December 27th, Monday night I have a feeling that will not be the last Saints-Falcons game this season 5 seed vs 1 seed divisional round playoff game, perhaps?
Parody has been great in the NFL, but there is a chance Week 17 could be worthless (besides seeding) with all 12 teams clinching prior to Week 17. Also, The Falcons, Saints, Bears, Packers, Giants and Eagles, all 8-4 or better, one will miss the playoffs. But the .500 Seahawks or Rams will make it. Crazy right?
I doubt that that will happen, at least in the NFC. There are 6 or 7 good teams in the NFC fighting for 5 spots (along with the likelihood that the NFC West won't be decided before the last week), so there should be games that matter there. It's more likely in the AFC, but I think the Colts will beat the Jaguars in Indy on December 19th, which would mean that the AFC South would still be up in the air in week 17. And, of course, seeding is absolutely crucial for the playoffs anyway.
Seeding is big if a bye is at stake. Right now Bears-Packers in Week 17 looks to be big. The 2 seed could be on the line in that one.
