Which is more likely?

Assuming we have at least one slip up as the season closes, which is more likely?

  1. We lose to the Pats, claim a wildcard spot

    51.4%
  2. We lose to the Pats and still win the division

    2.9%
  3. We beat the Pats, but lose consecutive tough away games to the Steelers and Bears

    5.7%
  4. We win the big matchups but lose to the Dolphins/Bills or both

    40.0%

    Remeber the Alamo?

The Patriots were picked in week 2 beacuse... Well, they're the Patriots. The Patriots are being picked this week because they're hitting their stride offensively & they've earned the 9-2 record. Since the Jets haven't passed the sniff test in 4 weeks. MNF will expose the Jets as a teasm that has mearly beat poor teams, for the most part.

    Just asking?

Is this a Gang Green poll that has the Patriots favored?

We haven't passed the test yet we are in first place, odd.

We haven't lost to a bad team yet, but the Patsies literally got steamrolled by the Browns.

Just like week 2, you'll see come Monday. We will win by at least 10, you haven't faced a team like us since you faced us.

You need to work on your comprehension skills if that's what you gathered.

I don't like any of the choices.

One of the reasons I think this game is so important is that a win or loss may create momentum of a good or bad sort, respectively. May.

Successfully predicting the outcome of the next five games is a tough call under any circumstances. But since the Pats have a fairly weak D this time, a loss would have to be some combination of the Jet D being unable to contain the Pats O and the Jet O falling short, not getting it done.

Right now, and since the Packer game, Sanchez and the O have been inspiring confidence in them. I think the players believe he's taken it up a couple of notches, and expect him to continue, not fall back. A failure by the Jets to score a good number of points against this D in a matchup where the Jet D is facing that high powere an O could be a real problem for the team.

I have my fears that Brady will have success against the Jet D. WHat if, despite the additions to personnel, ones we have enjoyed watching the Jets run up a 9-2 record, particularly now that Revis is healthy, and meshing with Cro, they fall short against NE?

Hopefully that does not happen, but probably the least likely scenario is one where the Jets lose to NE and win out the rest of the schedule.

On the other hand I am reluctant to predict that the Jets do not lose again this year. Chicago in their house looks toughest of all. They may not have the high powered O the Pats have, but when Cutler is on his game, they are a more balanced team.

So, even though the odds of this happening are something less than even, I think the most likely scenario is the Jets win the rest of their games except the Bears game.

    Allright allright

I'll just say, "As far as the upcoming MNF game, and all the media hype and
talking head predictions. There is only one thing to be learned. The Patriots are considered to be the better team.
This was not a mean spirited statement. Just an observation.

As Jet fans, after last year and how it ended do you really think we care?

We already beat you once, so as of now we are the better team.

So will you be avoiding the site after another loss just like all the other Patsy fans after week 2?

I thoroughly enjoyed you pointing out what people on TV say. TY

    I'll agree

If the Pats lose on Monday night I'll agree they have no hopes to win the division. Jets still have a small chance if they lose.
I don't think I've heard this in the media but. this is a must win for the Patriots.
