Has anyone seen that nifty playoff predictor machine on espn.com? Anyway, instead of doing my essay on Trade and development like a good boy I was muckin around on that thing and it seems likely to me, as much as I'd love us to win out or take the number 1 seed, that if we were to lose a couple of games or even finish 11-5 we would probably still make the playoffs as a 5th/6th seed. I don't feel like we're going to have an end of season melt down and lose 3 or 4 games in the stretch run a la 2008 with Rex as our coach and the culture and confidence of our team so in that spirit, which one of these outcomes do you think is more likely?
I don't see any late season meltdowns for sure, in 09 with a much less experienced team we won 5 of our last 6. We finish strong like bull.
Which option should I choose? Bad Option 1, Bad Option 2, Bad Option 3, Bad Option 4 or Jets go 14-2?

I'd love for us to win out and it's probably just as possible as any of the options but this is a what if, hypothetical poll - just interested in seeing what people think is more likely! It's not a thread about how great we are, just read it and comment if you're interested

You're right, all options involve us losing because the point of the poll is to see what of these options is more likely if we do lose at least once. And you're also right about it being a collection of views and not just my own and it's interesting to me that there is a consensus so far in the voting that it's unlikely we lose consecutive games to the Steelers and Bears. Would be helpful if you'd actually thought about these things before attacking it I also like beer...
Hahaha! Finish strong? The Patriots have played their tough teams. The Jets are starting theirs, this Monday night. BTW... Today on ESPN First Take. All 5 of their experts picked the Pats over the Jests. Not only did they pick the Patriots, it was with conviction.
Hahahahahahaha Point here is? We finished strong last year when everything came together, just like it is this year. If we face the same banged up Steelers team that's a easy win, easy win Monday, and the Pats will lose to at least 2 more games.

Well obviously I disagree, but I won't go on and on. When we beat the Patsies Monday, we'll have a cushion, and they'll lose another game as well. -Stay positive-
