He is playing though, he said there is no way he'd miss this.

I think it was mentioned here, just pointing it out again.

Kris Brown is no better. The dude is not clutch.

If this is a way to scare Folk, fine. But do not sign him.

I think that's the last thing Folk or any kicker needs at this point..... a scare. I can't remember any kicker that improved when someone pressured him about keeping his job. And if there is one, its probably a kicker who wasn't in jeopardy of losing his job anyway. I don't think Folk should lose his job, but I understand the Jets covering their bases. Too bad it places further pressure on Folk.

Good point about no kicker getting better after bringing someone else in.

Its been a technique thing with Folk since this slump. That XP was scary, he's never missed one in his career.

Does anyone have a replay of the XP?

I could have sworn thinking it was a bad hold or snap right before he kicked it.

RT @tomecurran Belichick on Rex saying he wants to kick Patriots ass: "Is that a big surprise? Big news story? Jets want to win the gm"

Win or lose, I could definitely see Rex getting Bill in a headlock and start to give him a noogie after the game.

    From TheJetsBlog
However, Nick Folk missed yet another kick and didn’t kick off well. I will defend him for one thing though – that extra point that he nearly missed was rushed because (for the second week running) Sione Pouha blocked the wrong guy and the kick was almost blocked. Folk can be forgiven for snatching at that one, because it probably would have been deflected if he kicked it in rhythm.

Okay good, it wasn't just me.

That makes sense, I remember not being surprised the kick was off because something just didn't seem right about the execution leading up to the kick.

Fuck that. If he can't handle the pressure of a slap dick kicker working out for the team how is he gonna handle the pressure of kicking in the postseason?

#NG As originally planned, the Jets' road games against the Pittsburgh Steelers and Chicago Bears will stay at 4:15pm and 1pm respectively.

TheJetsStream From what I’m hearing, #Jets likely won’t make a change at kicker before #Patriots gm. Not written in stone though. #nfl #nyj 30 Nov 2010 from web

Antonio Cromartie and Leonhard - not Kyle Wilson - are fielding punts early at practice. #jets #nfl #pats

The entire set up with Wilson back there is annoying to me. If you are sending him back there to return it send him back there like you would any other return man... alone! If he needs to have Leonhard back there to babysit him when he is fielding a punt he shouldn't be fielding the punt in the first place. I love his ability as a return man from college but if he isn't ready for it in the pro's he just isn't ready.
