Parcells first year was 1997, Neil O'Donnell started the season and Glenn Foley also played a few games. Foley was the starter for the beginning of 1998 and Vinny took over for good in October.
Same. I remember 86 cause people were talking about Jets & Giants in playoffs. My father was into (no homo) Parcells so he used to follow the teams that he was on but the Jets were making headlines too. O'Brien was mentioned a lot. The other name that sticks out in my head is Browning Nagle. God those were terrible years. I'd rather sit through another 10 years of Herm coaching than go back to that Coslett/Kotite shit. Thank goodness I've only been a fan since 85/86. I couldn't image the heartbreak from being a fan since the 60's.

At least those people saw us win a Super Bowl. I've been a fan since 1974, saw a broken down old Joe Namath rally us to 7-7, then a bunch of crap for the next however many years with a few good ones sprinkled in. The last 14 years, since 1997, we've been good but New England has been better most of that time so we've still been a Wild Card level team. We need to fix that beginning Monday.
