I don't trust Folk. I don't know if I trust either of these guys more, but as of right now I know I don't trust them less.

If Westhoff thinks one of them can do better I won't argue with him.

Rex saying "He is definitely concerned with Folk" sounds like the kiss of death to me. @incarseratedbobimpression We'll see someone else kicking for us Monday night.

Houston got rid of brown b/c he missed a ton of big kicks and they brought in Neil rackers to replace him- aman that has attempted FGs in 5 postseason games and has missed kicks in 4 of those 5 games so how confident would you be in brown?

Folk has connected on 77.5% of his career kicks, Brown 77.3

Seriously, I wonder how Weatherford can kick????

Folk now scares the living shit out of me, and on Monday they'll be plenty of boxer shorts with skid marks in, on and off the sideline.

These options all suck. This is the risk we took by letting Feely walk so we could sign a UFA, who turned out to be JT.

The one area where he may be able to help is on KO's, at first I thought the short KO's were by design but rex said that wasn't the case and his KO's have been incredibly short so maybe Brown can KO better? I'm not sure.

I think we're missing the bigger picture here. The question is why is our offense relying so heavily on the kicker to win games for them? If your offense is winning it's battles it should be able to put the ball in the endzone and giving itself some breathing room on the scoreboard, it shouldn't be crossing it's fingers and hoping for a 3 point win. No kicker should be faced with that kind of responsibility constantly.

I was going to point this out. It's not always about FGs and as someone already pointed out, over their careers the percentages are basically identical. When was the last time Folk forced a team into starting on their own 20? I feel better about having Weatherford punt the kickoff sometimes.

The biggest games are usually close games and having a poor kicker can send a team home.

KO's are down the priority list.....albeit, they're still important. I want the guy who's able to come in and kick FGs when called upon. I don't think K.Brown is the answer.

In fact...i'm not sure there's anybody available on the open market that would be a better option than Folk at this point.

Maybe Vanderjagt? if he regained his accuracy.

To a certain extent, you are right in that we should be getting more TDs in the redzone, but pressure kicks are part of a kicker's responsibility. That's a fact. If you can't do it consistently, you'll be moving on. It's the same problem most teams have with kickers. There are not many consistently reliable kickers in the NFL. The Jets aren't exactly the only team with a questionable kicker.

I just don't see any better options than Folk right now. Although I might be happier with Stover with the short FGs and Folk with the longs, I don't think its a good idea to carry two kickers. To me, if you go with one kicker, its Folk.

Just sayin', Nick Folk has attemped 30 FG's this year. Do you know how many Shayne Graham has attempted for the Patriots? 4 FIELD GOALS... Which means the Patriots are never in the position where they need their kicker to win it for them. Less stalled drives, less penalties, more successful TD drives, means less pressure on your kicker.

Feeley has attemped 14 FG's this year. Starting to get the picture? Why are we kicking so many field goals?
