Flex Game, December 12?--UPDATE: WILL REMAIN AT 4:15

Miami won today to go to 6-5, with a winnable game against the Browns next week. Miami is back into playoff contention....and Miami/Jets is always a marketable game in the "prime time" slot. I would think that the game has a good shot to get "flexed". Thoughts?

We'll know for sure by Dec 1.

    UPDATE: WILL REMAIN AT 4:15

No probably going to save it for the Pittsburgh game. I think you can only be flexed a certain amount.

There is absolutely no chance the Jets-Steelers game gets flexed. Week 15 is a CBS national weekend. That game will be televised everywhere in the country except for the Denver and Oakland regions.

NBC will stick with Packers vs Patriots for that Sunday night. That seems like a pretty good matchup.

The current scheduled Sunday night game for Week 15 is New England/Green Bay. I don't think that game gets flexed for anything.

I don't know if there's any special restrictions when the game is AFC vs. AFC or NFC vs. NFC in terms of if the AFC game has to be flexed for a CBS game or if the NFC game has to be flexed for a FOX game. If that's the case, December 12 could be tricky since it's Philadelphia/Dallas, and the only appealing FOX game is St. Louis/New Orleans.

There are not a lot of appealing games that week.

CBS has Patriots-Bears, Dolphins-Jets, and Chiefs-Chargers. Their other games that day are garbage ones.

FOX has Bucs-Redskins and Rams-Saints. Those are not really appealing matchups, but their other games are even worse.

One of those five games will be moved to Sunday night. I don't want to see the Patriots in primetime three weeks in a row (Week 13 and Week 15 they play in primetime). That'll probably be the game CBS will protect, anyway. I'm thinking and hoping Chiefs-Chargers will be the Sunday night game which would be the second time this season that the teams met in a night game.

If the league suspected Week 13 NE-Jets was going to be huge, any reason why they didn't put it on Sunday nite (bigger audience) than MNF (cable only) ???

Switch with somebody because that game will not be flexed.

That would have been a possibility since Chargers-Bengals will be flexed to the afternoon, but supposedly the Bears and/or FOX already stated the Jets-Bears game will not be flexed.

    Other possibilities-
    Titans-Chiefs
    49ers-Rams
    Seahawks-Bucs
    Giants-Packers
    Colts-Raiders
    Redskins-Jaguars

There is a lot of garbage that week. 49ers-Rams seems like crap, too, but that game could go a long way toward crowning the NFC West champion.

Add in the fact that Mia is not going to walk over the Browns and I could see them falling further behind the Jets and Pats. The Browns are not the Fadiers, who BTW gave Mia the the game today.

Mangini knows this club well and I expect them to play the Fins at least as hard as they played us. My money says Fin's D will not be able to stop Cle running game and the Cle D will get to Henne big time..... Cle 24 Mia 17

Woulda said Jets/Bears SNF but that is the only good game on CBS so they will have the right to keep it.

Dont think Jets get anymore primetime games after this upcoming Pat game. Becoming too good of a team for CBS to pass up on for the Flex to happen.

BTW for that Week 14....don't be shocked if its STL/NO......Rams have the NFC West fight and have yet to get a primetime game and the Saints always sell well and are the defending champs who are fighting for that division. Cant get NE/CHI since I think CBS gets the rights to keep it and FOX will hang onto NYG/MIN

It would be this or sticking with Dallas vs Philly....which could happen just for the Vick thrill and since DAL has faught hard lately.
