I've defended Mike in the past because I do respect his knowledge of sports, but lately his embellishes are getting ridiculous. His whole "the Yankees and Jeter is a done-deal" all year makes him look like a complete ASS in light of what's happened the last 2 weeks with Jeter's negotiations. Either he is making stuff up about "Yankee sources" or he's being lied to because he looks ridiculous. This isn't like a wrong-prediction on a sports game where you never know....this was something he supposedly had inside information from Cashman/Trost/Leveine/Steinbrenner and CLEARLY he DID NOT. Quite frankly, he owes his listeners an apology. I wonder if the WFAN screeners would let someone ask him about how he could be so wrong -- if anybody catches that this week or whenever, post it here.
