My post above was totally aimed at measuring the reactions to it from Jet faithful. Obviously the jury is out on both picks. Wilson still has the coverage skills that made him a bonafide 1st round pick. His PR skills which were also trumpeted have been disappointing, but that is not is not going to be the skill set that defines his ultimate NFL grade. 2nd round pick at OL is a "project", a deeper project than probably most thought would be the case on draft date. Personally on a "win now" team I would have preferred a player that could make some 2010 on field contributions in round 2. Always a little leary of "project" picks that start even more slowly than originally planned.
So your thought process was to say something ignorant to gauge the response to it? Let me guess, you totally knew everyone was going to bash you so you are actually smart and everyone else is dumb? The rest of your analysis is irrelevant since your probably saying some other stupid shit just so you can gauge how people react to it. AMIRITE?
Just feeding the monster. While there Some insightful posters on this forum the prototypical poster is cut out of the same cloth, albeit green, as WFAN's Jerome from the Bronx. Sometimes it is just too easy to stir the pot.
What you have just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
1- rex is quick to bench any player that screws up (except bart scott and sanchize) 2- arron glenn muffed his first few punts and dealt with TGG faithful labeling him a bust....how'd that work out? 3- any word on our 3rd string rb playing defense?
But Drew Coleman has been fucking awesome this year. This isn't last year's Drew Coleman, he's been a great nickel for us all season. The good has far outweighed the bad, and at worst he's steady, which is all you want from a nickel in this kind of a system. Wilson was something of a project--all the physical tools you could ask for but little experience against top-flight competition. Getting to go against Holmes, Bray, Cotch, and Smith (and even Turner) in practice is helping the learning curve, but how many rookie corners come in and make an impact from day 1? How many do it in a system that asks more of its cornerbacks than any in the NFL? Give Wilson time, man.
Well it isnt too difficult to see you think way too highly of yourself. Lets get to the play by play...... You create a post where most people think you are a total, complete asshole. Then you create another post, quoting that same quote where you were a complete total asshole. People that quote themselves, 10 times out of 10, are assholes. Then you make your final post (hopefully), which is basically a smug attempt to call out the forum, for calling you out as nothing more than a troll, which you readily admit to being. Again you look like a complete total asshole. Well if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's a fucking duck.
We're in the wrong 'Puck'. Some of these new posters were most likely Pats fans last year and will disappear as quickly as they arrived. Putting up with idiot posts like these are part and parcel of 'parenting' the forums. (Sorry for wandering in here)
Might be a late bloomer. Not worried yet. Didn't like his hype out of Boise state all they talked was speed. So he isn't necessarily a football player as much as he is an athlete.
He gets one more game to prove himself, then it is time to cut him. As far as I see it, 11 games in the NFL, if you have not done anything by now, you are done.
No, no, no...you called yourself a fool. According to you, it'd be "foolish" to label a player a bust in his first season, yet we've seen you do it plenty of times already in the draft forum. Drew Coleman has been a pleasant surprise this season. If he continues to play this way, I have no problems with him starting over a rookie. I might be a Fresno State fan, but ask RichMiano how I feel about the WAC compared to conferences like the SEC and PAC10. All of your posts suck. I don't see that changing.
Looks like New England was all the wiser in passing up on Wilson in favor of McGourty [sic]. Did Wilson even see the field yesterday? You know it's bad when Holmes, arguably your best receiver, is back there returning punts.
He needs to be taken off ST. I am so glad they showed that just now because he gets toasted but the gunner on every single punt My seats at the game, I see it every week
He will be a very good corner, but the kid just needs to play. He got in there a little more this week and got a QB hit as well as a pass defense. This draft will not be a bust. Nobody knows what Ducasse will do, but McKnight is already a beast as a gunner and will be our Woodhead if he is used correctly. Conner is clearly our starting FB as well.
I'm sorry but that's just amusing How has Conner been playing? I see a lot of T-rich but not much Terminator in there...
