Yes, he is. McCourty takes rookie corner of the year, though. Maybe rookie DB... haven't watched too much of Berry.
Eric Berry and Earl Thomas have lived up to the hype. They're both having better rookie seasons than Devin McCourty. McCourty is holding that starting spot down though. He's doing well as of late.
I haven't noticed him doing poorly at all. I can't comment on Berry or Thomas, but McCourty has looked like a professional number one cornerback the duration of the season. Heard somewhere Thomas has trouble in the box?
please tell me I am missing the sarcasm, becaue you can't seriously call a player who was drafted 29th a bust simply in comparison to how the 1 and 2 players drafted perform. please, I beg you, tell me I am missing the sarcasm because I will lose all faith in humanity if someone is that fucking stupid to believe something so fucking stupid.
Thank you for saying that, it drives me crazy how quick people are to label a drafted player a bust. He hasn't even completed a full season yet!
Some of you guys are being apologists. KW has underperformed so far for a rookie first round pick. Will he be a great player in the future? I think so. Just stop cursing people out and thinking they're retarded for saying he isn't playing well. Calling him a bust is definitely foolish but it's tough to look at his body of work and say he's excelled.
How can you excell when you dont play? How do you get time to play when you have Revis and Cromartie ahead of you. Also as much as people hate him for whatever reason Coleman is playing great this season. Its not easy to be a starter on an already talent filled roster. Patriots defense blows donkey dick so obviously McCourtey will start.
QFT it is really annoying watching all these bandwagon Jets fans come out of the closet and comment on stuff they know nothing about.
Wilson had a poor start to the season the first couple games, especially against Baltimore when he was featured throughout the game. Again, I want to reiterate I understand he is a rookie but his poor performances outweigh the positive ones. KW has been back on about 15 punt returns and hasn't shown any promise in that slot either. I think towards the end of next season he'll be a good cover-corner but up to this point he hasn't shown talent that is representative of his pick strength. KW HAS to improve soon, especially if this team expects to win a superbowl. At this point people are praising Drew Coleman (although he has improved) over a rookie who many thought would be an instant coverage threat at nickle corner.
I agree 100% with your post but you've been on this site for 6 years now...you know that people this fucking stupid exist lol
Wilson's a late first rounder that's playing behind the best cornerback tandem in the NFL. What did you expect from him? He's an inexperienced defensive back on a team that's loaded at the position he plays. We should be perfectly fine with him sitting and learning behind two of the best corners in the game. Cornerbacks dictate the way our scheme can be played. If our staff throws Wilson into the fire and he doesn't know what to do, the unit as a whole will fail. When he's ready, he'll be out there. ...and the shit in bold just points out that you're calling yourself a fool.
This is why I truly love rational and intelligent Jets fans. They make up for complete idiots that spout retarded gibberish like that quoted above. This too:
If you can honestly tell me you thought drew Coleman would deservedly earn reps over Kyle Wilson as a nickel corner before the season started feel free to call me a fool. I would go back and check the offseason/draft threads but my phone won't allow it for now. Maybe it's your 2-inch hard on for the WAC
