Joe Flacco Chris Johnson Rodgers-Cromartie Felix Jones Desean Jackson Ray Rice Peyton Hillis Rasheed Mendehall Not in the top 10 but still could you imagine if we had Chris Johnson, Ray Rice, Peyton Hillis or Desean Jackson?
Look back at this, i remember how pissed some fans were that we took Keller over Devin Thomas. Looks like a great move now. Ghost was a bummer of a pick, but there were no other 3/4 pass rushers taken early in that draft that would be of worth. We wern't about to invest more in the O-line in a very O-line heavy draft. Mayo would have been amazing, but we had drafted Harris for the inside the year before. It was really an ungly looking first for us.
Yea, if you gonna reach back, don't go Waaayy off the board like this. No one, and I mean no one in the NFL draft process saw Rice as the talent he is. Same can be said for Hillis,Jackson, and Johnson who were each passed over at least once by each team . Using hind sight to grab every steal of the draft is silly.
Yeah... looking back we were just unlucky McFadden didn't fall to us (and he is only starting to play well this year). Looking back 2008 was a very bad year... we were lucky to a least hit a pick with Keller.
Yea obviously hindsight isn't a good thing to use when reffering to a draft but it is still interesting to find out who we passed on and who they turned out to be
If you look to your left near far out near the horizon, you might be able to see JoeJet hanging out on his yacht....
Its WAY too soon to give up on Gholston. Hes still a fucking KID hes the same age as fricken Sanchez 24. Look how far hes come this year alone, well his playing career could be 10 more years. Obviously keeping him under his current contract is completely unacceptable, but if we can work something more feasible out id love to give him a little more time.
After gholston went (in order) DT Sedrick Ellis - nothing great DE Herrick Harvey - sucks LB Keith Rivers - average and not what we needed LB Jarrod Mayo - good player but now what we needed CB Leodis Mclevin - nothing great OT Ryan Clady - great player but we didn't need a tackle RB jonathan Stewart - great player but RB wasn't a priotiry OT Chris Williams - sucks OT Brandon Albert - sucks and that was the rest of the top 15. overall wasn't a very good top 15 talent wise in the draft. top was was very good though 1) Jake long - beast 2) chris long - beast 3) Matt Ryan - turning into a franchise QB 4) Run DMC - blowing it up this year 5) Glenn Dorsey - does he even play? i never hear his name, seriously
I can't help but think that if they had drafted Mckelvin that the AFCCG might have been different last year.
Gholston just got upgraded from a steamy pile of dog shit to a piece of shit on a stick, dipped in sugar. Meh...
