I love this guy and I'm not going to let one game bring my overall confidence in him down but I'm just surprised there has been no mention of how bad he was last night. And please spare me the "Schotty held him back nonsense." Yes, Schotty called a shitty game last night, but Mark was pretty atrocious. I hope his streak of success on the road continues next week because he's been pretty awful at home this season.
Nope only your mention of it. Now that you've mentioned it, we can move on to bigger and better things.
Oh that's right, I forgot. Any mention of something negative after a win or loss about this team makes you a darksider. Keeps slipping my mind.
well, when: Sanchez acknowledges that he didn't play well He didn't lose the game or put the defense is atrocious positions He is a 2nd year QB Has 7 passes batted down at the line of scrimmage, you let things go and understand he can get it done. QBs are allowed to have a bad game in their 2nd year, especially when you see the growth they've shown over the course of the season. When your sophomore season is a vast improvement from your rookie season, its gravy.
It has been mentioned in multiple threads by multiple people. Not everyone believes their individual thoughts on a certain player are worthy of their own thread.
I think my point still stands about the overthrows. Let your receivers make a play!!! I'm sure all of you were happy when Edwards had a 1 on 1 vs a scrub with his head facing away from the ball and Sanchez overthrew it.
Sanchez misfired on some throws, made some iffy decisions and had too many batted balls at the line. There said! Against the Texans, the defense went home early in the third quarter. Vs the Browns, the kicker sucked. Everyone has a bad day. Imagine if they all put it together? Hopefully on December 6.
Had a bad game by recent standards, but he still threw a nice TD pass and had only one interception. Sure, he made some bad throws, but he also made a few great ones that were dropped. It's one game though. I'm not worried.
Lol. Also very well said. Sanchez has shown me enough that I believe he'll get the job done most of the time, and for a second year QB, that's pretty damn good. I think he's gonna end up being a great QB. First off, he's immensely talented. Second, he seems to be a very good leader at this early stage. And lastly, as long as Mike T is the GM, Sanchez will be surrounded by very talented players. He's in a perfect position to have as much success as anyone has had.
Meh, he had 3 days to prepare for this game. Their secondary for the most part stepped up huge. I will say his scrambling ability has gotten to his head and he won't throw it away. However, he's sure to rebound against a bad Pats Pass D with 11 days to prepare.
In the 4 games prior to last night Sanchez threw for more yards than anyone in the NFL in that span. His late-game heroics in those the three games prior is enough to convince me this kid is for real. 16-28 for 166 yards and a TD is more like a 2009 game for him, but we won by over 2 TDs. We played JET football in the second half, that makes me feel a little more comfortable going into December rather than relying on Mark to throw for 300+ yards a game to win (and slightly might I add) every week.
He wasn't to bad. I mean how are you supposed to drive when Brad Smith is running a 50 yard TD and then having kickoff return. Sanchez didn't have much chances in the 2nd half to even do a single play. Then we just ran the ball for like the whole 4th quarter to run the clock out because of the lead Brad Smith gave us.
