I love the Thanksgiving games, it's a tradition. Nothing better then eating some turkey and watching some NFL football.

The future is looking bright for these games too, the Lions are putting together a good team. I haven't looked forward to a Lions Thanksgiving game since Barry Sanders was playing.

I like it too, I just prefer it to be games that do not involve the Jets.

    Damn ... 2005?? I didn't even remember ... That's really embarassing :eek:hmy:
Apparently we played on the 26th that year, and lost to the Pats.

Anyway ... I hope we get a national game on Christmas Night next year.

Yeah, but once every decade or so wouldn't be bad.

I'm looking forward to going, just hope the rain holds off.

    8pm.

Going to the game, works out perfectly. Have dinner at home with the family, watch some of the other games, and head out of here at about 6, in our seats by 8.

Hopefully watch the Pats get upset by Detroit.

That'll make the Jets game that much sweeter.

Do you Brits have any holiday that celebrates making faking peace and savagely killing the natives?

I'm a family guy who works odd hours. I am off on weekends and reserve Sunday's during football season as "me" time.

My wife decided we were hosting a huge Thanksgiving dinner for all my inlaws this year, so I hope I can have them out the door by 8. So yeah, that worked out; as long as I can find a good quality stream, anyway.

This works out- better than you going out in public and getting hit up with all of the David Wells autograph hounds.

It didn't help, we finished 11-5 and were the Wild Card. We were a better team than Detroit, too. It also didn't help that the great Bears team started Jim McMahon against us and Steve Fuller in their loss at Miami.

2007 was a Kellen Clemens game, over early.

2005 was the last ever MNF game on ABC, we hosted the Pats and got crushed. Vinny came in late for Brooks Bollinger and set some kind of record for most years in a row with a TD pass, 19 or 20 years.

We had the MNF game on Christmas night the following year at Miami, beating them in the rain to help us make the playoffs.

I'd have to go for the 4.15 Kick Off - 8pm KO is 1.20am here in the UK and getting to work afterwards is a killer.

You can use your pc to record tv if you have the right hardware, and media center installed.

    Very cheap option.

You know what sucks? How AWFUL the quality of games have been on Thanksgiving the past few years. I mean, look at all these blowouts:

    Nov. 23, 2006
Miami Dolphins 27 Detroit Lions 10
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 10 Dallas Cowboys 38
Denver Broncos 10 Kansas City Chiefs 19

    Nov. 22, 2007
Green Bay Packers 37 Detroit Lions 26
New York Jets 3 Dallas Cowboys 34
Indianapolis Colts 31 Atlanta Falcons 13

    Nov. 27, 2008
Tennessee Titans 47 Detroit Lions 10
Seattle Seahawks 9 Dallas Cowboys 34
Arizona Cardinals 20 Philadelphia Eagles 48

    Nov. 26, 2009
Green Bay Packers 34 Detroit Lions 12
Oakland Raiders 7 Dallas Cowboys 24
New York Giants 6 Denver Broncos 26

This years games on paper could be just as bad!
