This boggles my mind but you know the last pick we had was lowery's pick 6.....? we had 4 in the first 3 games, and the only 1 in the last 7. we DO however lead the league in fumble recoveries, which is pretty sweet. We're tied for 2nd to last in the league in picks though. Never thought with our secondary that this would be the case. we've definitely had a few that were very catchable that were just dropped.
I think it's actually quite simple... our CB's are so good that teams have essentially stopped throwing to their WRs. Teams are using their TE's and RB's much more in the pass game that it gives us a lot less oppurtunity to get them. However I think our lack of a pass rush si also giving opposing QB's too much time to find an open target.
Kinda hard to get interceptions when no quarterbacks will throw to their #1 and 2 receivers with Revis and Cro on them. I like to look at the lack of interceptions as a testament to how scared other quarterbacks are
I think we will start to see more in this stretch. We are about to go up against some teams that will try to test our corners a bit more. I think Palmer should be good for at least one on thursday.
It's too bad profootball focus charges to see there stats now or we could look up exactly how often they were targeted.
No way. Brady will be stuffing the ball into Gronkowski's & Woodhead's hands all day. He will not test the long ball on Branch or Welker against Revis & Cro. That's how they lost the first time. Kept trying to beat Cro/Revis on Moss and it didn't work. Our saftey crew and 3rd CB/Nickle will be torched. Brady will be going to his 3rd options. The WRs will be decoys. Its gonna be 9 on 9 when Brady is on the feild and Coleman/Lowery/Wilson/Pool/Leonard better get it together.
How much do they charge? Edit: nvm looked it up.. they want 24$ for 30 days and if you want to upgrade from there it's 66 more for the entire year
The Pats always go underneath even when they had Moss. We are still going against other teams that will force the ball downfield. Palmer is gonna force it, Big Ben will force it, Cutler will force it, Fitzpatrick will force it. I don't know who will be playing for the Fins but at that point they might just be opening up the playbook for the hell of it. At the very least they have 4/6 remaining games where the secondary should have opportunities to make plays on balls down the field.
Look at opposing qb's completion percentage against our D, we by far lead the league ... Hard to get pics when their receivers aren't even getting catchable balls
Wait until we come across a team that actually thinks their WRs are better than our CBs. That's when the picks will come....
This is exactly why players like Revis get the big bucks, basically to have no stats. All though it would be nice for them to take some chances every now and then, like Samuel/Woodson. Players like that do give up big plays but they also make big plays.
It's hard to think that any team would believe that after Megatron and Andre Johnson already got shut down. No team has better than them.
This. QBs are targeting slot receivers, TEs, and RBs against us in the passing game. Yeah, I'd prefer more ints, but I haven't been hearing Revis and Cromartie's name on a regular basis anymore as opposed to how it was starting the season when Cro was all over the place breaking up pass after pass, and getting the occasional PI call. They'll come though. Its just a matter of time till we start doubling TEs and then letting the WR go one on one with Revis and Cro. This would be the risk ONLY Rex can take and will take to create some turnovers when needed.
Palmer has five picks in the last two game. I'd expect atleast two picks from Palmer. You know he's going to test our secondary with his new toy, TO.
