So now it has to be an elite D and not an elite opponent. What elite D have we faced? baltimore isn't as good as usual on D and we played too conservative, GB isn't elite and the conditions dictated that game both ways.

Our offense can score on anyone when it is clicking, as the QB continues to develop it's going to be harder and harder for opposing D's to stop us.

^Totally agree, and I wouldn't call the Bears elite. I think we're 5th in the league in defensive scoring, only behind the Bears, Packers, Steelers and Saints.

I wasn't part of your conversation, just taking into account the Patriots defense isn't very good. Also, Packers have the #1 scoring defense in the NFL so they ARE elite THIS year. Like we said earlier, there are no truly elite defenses this year.

We were #1 in scoring last year and weren't elite so the ranking doesn't make them elite. They havea good D but the conditions played a major role why neither O could get anything going. Remember that was a 3 pt game late in the 4th until the 2nd of the 2 awful INT calls.

I can't remember which thread but someone was taking about rankings.

We are now ranked 8th in total offense. This is the first time since 98 where we've been ranked in the top 10 after week 10.

It said 11th earlier in the day because all stats weren't included due to the Monday night game.

So 7th in total D, 8th in total O, these are the stats championship teams are built on.

    Here's how it is now:

Schotty has improved this November. There are still about 5 plays a game that are just wrong time and place plays, but the most of the calls are fine. Its way better than October, and is right there with late September. The Cutesy tag should fade for now, but there are moves that just don't seem logical, especially in the red zone.

Philosophically he's a passing OC, which due to teams taking the run away and Sanchez's breakout performance this month have worked together well.

He is not a great OC, but a great offensive mind and coach. There is a difference. The extremists have it wrong on both ends, it meets somewhere in the middle.

He'll get a HC job soon and then he'll be gone, so the next coach needs to not out think himself or be too conservative and we shouldn't bitch and moan.

That summation should keep us sane until the postseason.

Anyone who feels good about the way the offense is playing this year is kidding themselves.

They have made things so much harder on themselves then they have to.

Any offensive success has much more to do with an incredibly talent loaded roster, and not Schotty.

Again, they don't get their act together quickly, these last 5 games are going to be incredibly disappointing.

Next week the defense will NOT hold the Patriots under 20 points, and the Patriots will not make the mistakes the Bengals made.

This offense has far too much talent to struggle the way it does for large chunks of every single game.

    lol.

What is different than last week? The RZ offense still sucks and the rest of the time the offense continues to move the ball at a consistent rate. Oh, and someone said that he wasn't doing a good job because Sanchez was having a bad game. It was a short week and the offense didn't need to do much. Besides the RZ offense and Sanchez making some bad decisions (who was that INT supposed to go to?) and some bad throws (how long was that pass to Braylon floating in the air?) what has changed?

That Forrest Gump looking picture cracks me up, given the nature of the thread.

They really shouldn't use those workplace ID looking pics...
