Neither are getting top 5 money. That was my only point.

Yes. Both Braylon and Holmes are going to command more $$$$$ than the two guys named Johnson we've recently faced.

Dial in both players for 4-5 year deals around 6 mil per tops..

    Cro is the fly ointment.

    You're right.

Cro is going to be the tricky one.

I looked at the last 3 games going into yesterday because that's what someone said the OP meant.

If he really meant weeks (as in time) and some of the competition had byes in there, that's a pretty pointless thread...

I was just looking at stats and I was comparing him to Schaub stat wise but he does stack up well against Brady too.

    Sanchez Stats:

    336 attempts, 185 completions, 55.1 completion percentage, 2306 yards, 6.86 yards per pass attempt, LONG- 74 Yards, 15 Td's, 7 INT's (should be 5), 17 sacks, and 82.8 QB rating.

    Brady Stats:

    329 attempts, 215 completions, 65.4 completion percentage, 2362 yards, 7.18 yards per pass attempt, LONG- 65 Yards, 19 Td's, 4 INT's (should be 5), 14 sacks, and 100.6 QB rating.

Obviously the completion percentage and TD/INT ratio is where he separates himself. This year I don't think any QB in the NFL has made so big throws to win the game or get us in position to win.

Sanchez is on pace to have much better stats then Brady did in his sophomore year, the year the Pats won their first tainted SB.

Also while on the topic of Brady, 2 of his 4 INT's came against US.

Point I'm making here is Sanchez is the man, period.

Santonio wanted $12mil a yr in Pittsburgh. Again, he'll ask for probably around $10 mil a yr and Jets might come to an agreement around $8mil a yr.

Marshall signed a 5 yr $47 mil, with $13 mil guaranteed contract. His off the field issues are too many for me to jot down. He's on a different planet than Holmes as far as off-the-field issues are concerned. Who's the better wideout? Hard to tell really. The way Santonio has played the last three games, and the last year in Pittsburgh, I may go with Santonio, but I could be biased.

Every year, the salary increases. People seem to disagree with me there when it comes to what a player would demand in the future and what he'd actually get.

I also don't know Santonio's status next yr whether he'd be a UFA or RFA. That will have a lot to say. Again, Marshall got $47 mil in 5. Santonio will end up around $40 mil in 5.

If Holmes keeps winning us games he's going to demand $20 MM/year.

Serioulsy, $6mil would be a steal for both.

Calvin Johnson signed a $9+ mil contract in 2007. u still think he'd sign for $9 mil a yr in 2011 if he was to become an UFA?

Andre Johnson signed a 7 year $63 mil contract, but with $48 mil guaranteed. The guaranteed money is why he didn't get a $10+ mil a yr contract.

I would hate to be an opposing defensive coordinator against the Jets. I can't remember the last time I had that thought.

After this game I'm in complete belief that Sanchez is a top-10 QB. Teams don't want to face this guy late in games when he's trailing, could we imagine saying this last year at this time?

Also, if these two can be had for $12 mil a yr total, we can easily retain both and sign Cromartie along with Harris.

I agree, his poise in the pocket is great, he escapes with the best of them and when he's on the run he actually throws better IMO. That stems from Sanchez just being able to create plays, not trying to over-think, that is his bread & butter, also some jelly too.

I've posted this a few times now and I may be in the minority but I say fuck the Ground-N-Pound. Let's jump out to a lead behind the arm of Sanchez spread the D out and and then we can run all day to close the game out.

That's one thing I like about how the Patriots close most games, they keep scoring. Of course I hate them and say they are running up the score but as seen yesterday you never know when that extra 65 yard TD pass will end up being the TD that won your team the game.

The crop of FA WR's in 2011 dwarfs the crop of CB's.

    Has to be '98.

I still think the offense can produce better. Right now the o-line is banged up. If they manage to get healthy and push people off the ball again the running game can definitely play off of this passing attack that has reared its head.

I read it somewhere. Can't find it now, but that was one of the many other reasons why Steelers wanted to get rid of him. They are known for not extending contracts on a regular basis.
