More TD's. thats really it for Mark. He has 12 TDs in 10 games thats 1.2 per game. As far as MVP goes, that needs to be jacked up to 1.8 per game minimum, and probably needs to be 2.0 in reality. Then of course, he has to continue to throw for an average of 225 a game, he currently is throwing for 199.1 ypg. In short from a statistics standpoint he has a lot to do, but frankly he should be in the conversation at this point. He has done some amazing things the last month...
Infact all your stats are off becaue you didn't include any of todays td's and yardage but still divided it by 10 games
not to take away from Sanchez, but one needs to remember that 2 of the last 3 games have been more than 4 quarters, including one that came to the final seconds of overtime. That said he's been money under pressure, but his yards have been slightly inflated the last 3 weeks due to the OT periods...
Edwards off the field issues are not going to keep him from cashing in on a big check. I would be worried about Santonio's off the field issues more than Edwards' or Cromartie's. Edwards will be cheaper because he is not producing lights out like Santonio. Im thinking Edwards will want to stay here aswell. Yes, we need Harris. If anything, we need to pick up another pass rusher to help out the rest of the D. As for Cromartie, I just hope we can keep him aswell, but we can't have it our way. Would anyone be surprised if Cotchery was traded away to save cap space? He hasn't performed as a starting wideout even when Holmes wasn't here. Maybe he was just having a few bad games, but its a long stretch of bad games. If Jets decide to keep the two WR and Cro, while paying Harris, I can see Cotch being traded away as a salary cap casualty. The way we have recovered from the loss of Jenkins, he may not be here next either. Divito is playing great as he showed today. I know there's a drop of production when Jenkins leaves, but our DL has been solid. This off season will be one of the most interesting off season in a while. Maybe Holmes gets the RFA tag and we give him the highest tender. Not sure there. Probably same for Cro?
He's right on target with what he wanted this year, a 2:1 TD-INT ratio. 15:7 is right there. I'm very proud of this kid.
I can't wait to see him when he is completing 60-65% of his passes on a consistent basis. He is already balling with his 55% completion percentage.
I have to disagree here to a certain extent. I think teams will really be weary of throwing big money at him because he can be a major distraction if he losses control of himself. I think 5-5.5m per gets Edwards back in a jets uniform. Holmes is definitely going to want big money though. He thinks of himself as a top 3 WR in the NFL and wants to be paid as such..
this was a stat taken directly from the SNF pregame. fuck vick and eli and rivers who gives a shit. to be fair to sanchez, he has a fraction of the experience of the rest of the qbs.
Edwards is not going to sign a $5.5 mil a yr deal. Just because he is here on a $4.3 mil tender this does not reflect his market. He will easily demand $8+ mil being an UFA next yr. Holmes would probably demand around $10+ mil a yr, but we'll see how his off the field affects his negotiation power.
But he passed for less yardage the last 3 weeks than Eli, Rivers (and Brees for that matter). Given the title of the thread it seemed worth pointing out...
That's what I thought. Rotoworld has it at 4.3 mil http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpages/player_main.aspx?id=3126&sport=NFL
Larry Fitzgerald makes 10 a year. Roddy white signed a 50 mil 6 year deal with 19 guaranteed last year. Both those guys have been consistent and never had any off the field problems. Holmes is one strike away from a year ban and Braylon from a 4 game I believe ? Or just 1?
And what do u suggest it might be? PS. I mentioned that these players will 'demand' those prices. That doesn't mean they'll get it, but it won't be too far off.
