I wouldnt go so far as to cut two of our top 3 Lbs in order to keep Holmes and Edwards. but we damn sure need to find a way to make it happen. we can only hope their is a way Tanny can manage to bring everybody back, but it seems highly unlikely. It has become my opinion we need to keep the offense intact and accept whatever defensive losses we have to in order to do it. Sanchez is the future, and our chance at a superbowl (or dare i say it multiple...) depends entirely on him. If he reaches his potential, we will be in contention in the playoffs more often than we will be with Harris in the middle of our defense, or Cro on the outside.

We have Harris and Scott at ILB. We are more than fine there. But I agree with you on the other posistions, particularly free safety.

Nice performance by Sanchez, he is improving before our eyes. Its pretty awesome.

Nice to see the Sanchez and the offense improving w/Red Zone Efficiency today. 2/5 40% is a nice positive improvement in the offensive execution. Its not where it should be, but its better than it has been.

Who has seen Wilson even remotely look like he is developing? CRO is twice the player Wilson will ever be.

I'm sorry but it's entirely way too fucking premature to be making a statement like that.

Wilson's had his bumps this year, but it's his rookie season. Give him some time to develop before proclaiming what his ceiling will or won't be as a football player.

After this season, one of Thomas or Pace will be gone. Taylor will be gone. Jenkins's salary will either be reduced or he will be gone. Ellis will have a much lower cap number next year or be gone. There will be money to spend, and Tanny is a cap genius. It can get done.

I could see Holmes signed long term. Edwards franchised. Harris and Cromartie both signed long term.

    Me.

He has gotten more playing time the last two weeks and I didn't see him get called for a penalty or get beat in coverage. seems like good evidence that he is developing.

Your second statement is too dumb to address.

Exactly.... I'm not taking anything away from Cromartie, he's played exceptional, but to write off a rookie D-back because he hasn't played up to the level of two all pro corners is fucking stupid. Wilson is going to be good, very good.

And neither of them are good in coverage. We need to add some speed at ILB.

Thats exactly what I was going to say. K-Dub is playing better. Last week he made a first down saving tackle, this week he almost got a diving INT after a Cro breakup. He damn sure didnt give up diddly today, and wasnt flagged in either this week, or last week. That is development, no matter how you slice it. Is he Revis or even Cromartie, hell no. But he is a rookie who is going to get better. This kid has the drive and the physical abilities, I have no doubt he will be good in the not so distant future.

At this pace sanchez could close in on 4,000 yards, 25 touchdowns and approx. 10-11 ints...
