Their defensive rankings can be 32nd across the board, I don't care, they clearly have gained back the ability to pull wins out of their asses which they clearly didn't have in '08 and '09. The '01 Pats didn't have great rankings either, but like that group this year has players on defense which make huge contributions on special teams and make big plays when it matters. 32nd in the league in 3rd down conversations but 1st in the league in wins completely pulled out of our ass is fine with me.
Odd...The Patssucking media, has been trying to give us that monniker. Glad to see you admit we're the better team
Stats are for losers. The Pats are 8-2 along with the Jets and Falcons. When the playoffs roll around you don't get voted in because of where your offense or defense ranks. Pats give up yards but have one of the best turnover differentials in the league. The offense also ranks middle of the pack but the pats have scored more points than any team in the NFL. If you believe every number you see on NFL or ESPN you don't know a whole lot. Rivers, Orton, and Manning are all on pace to brake Dan Marinos single season passing yard mark but 2 (or all 3) of those teams can miss the playoffs. Stats are important right?
Yea another thing to keep in mind is that while the Pats pass defense is pretty suspect because of how young it is, part of the reason that teams have so many passing yards against it is because the Pats are the highest scoring team in the league this year and often times are playing with a lead, forcing teams to throw more to catch up, which then creates the opportunities for the turnovers.
