This guy was just in the right place. he didnt have any penetration on his parents line the kid was just running around. wasnt a great play by him. /junc'd
You can teach a lesson from a bad situation. At 8 years old the kid is old enough to understand when a father says "Listen kid, that fight that happened is not how you normally handle things. When it comes to family though, you have to protect your own, and that's what I was doing. No one will ever lay a hand on you, or anyone in our family and get away with it."
Haha.... ...Know when to walk away Know when to run You never count your money when your sittin at the table There'll be time enough for countin till the dealin's done.....
I was at the Lions game a couple weeks ago. Some jerk throws a beer bottle at a Jets fan sitting a couple rows away from me but misses him and hits a girl (cleveland fan) in the back of the head. The guy (jets fan) goes over to the bottle thrower and gives him h*ll. Cleveland fans from three sections each way start yelling at the jets fan and going nuts that he would dare get in the Brown's guy's face. Stadium security comes and settles it down but it was getting a little crazy. Imagine what would have happened if the guy started to beat the sh*t out of the cleveland guy. Great for his ego but puts the whole family at risk in that kind of environment. If its just you and your buddies, one thing. When it's your family, it's another.
You okay boy. Shake it off son. We're Jets, we're tougher than that. That guys' a drunk idiot and a loser.
I think the dad did the right thing walking away. There's too much risk in escalating it. And the best revenge is living well. The family did that by GTFO of Cleveland. And the Browns should sign the drunk to play in their secondary.
You're killing me with these. There is no way sitting at home with the best system is better than watching the game in person. No way. To each his own I guess.
They're both excellent venues.....sitting in my Jets basement watching the game is perfection.....and going to the game is a fun experience too (especially tailgating with a bunch of rowdies)
That's some dramatic shit! I just can't believe there is much to this story. Maybe I'm crazy but I have a little more faith in people.
I have been through this same thing. Leaving a crushing Jets defeat at the hands of the Bears in Champaign. You know the one, Chrebet thought he could hurdle a guy to be a hero instead of run out of bounds to stop the clock? Any way, I was a guset on a Bear fan bus trip with my wifes work friends. The Bear fans were not very friendly at all, and they won. There was beer thrown, names yelled, and I may have seen weapons. I, being the only Jets fan within what seemd like 50 miles, just kept on walking. My wife and sister in law on the other hand were a little more vocal. they had a few drops of beer on them when they got back to the bus, but that's about it. It just goes to show you that some people take the game too serious. I like to drink, and had quite a few that day myself, but I am not an asshole like that. That father should have stood up for his son. Should he have frogstomped they guy? Maybe. There are many factors that could be involved. The guy could be 150 lbs. soaking wet, and know he stood no chance. Why get your ass whooped if you can help it?
If anybody did that to my boy, somebody is going to hell that day, and it won't be me (or my boy for that matter). I guarantee it.
If the wife was with them she could have taken the kid to the car while dad puts lug marks on said asshole's neck. I'm old school. If a grown up hits my kid, its go time. I'll take an ass whomping from 5 guys to make sure the fuckface knows he's been in a fight.
I'd have probably given the guy a few shots, then moved along and got my kid out of there, just by natural reaction. Then again, I wouldn't bring an 8-year-old to a road game.
Your kids should feel safe when they're with their parents. Your kids should know you'll protect them at any cost. Walking away tells the kid that Dad doesn't give a shit.
Yes. That's how it's supposed to be. If anybody hits my boy, I will personally make sure that moron is a deadmeat before he leaves the stadium.
100% agree with this and that's exactly how i'd handle it. If Cleveland fans were to jump in vs a man sticking up for his family it shows how much of a piece of trash they are there.
Or at least spit in their face or something and take it from there. If he wants to swing its beat down time. If he doesn't it shows he's a pussy. Either way, retaliation is necessary. Don't fuck with my kids if you wish to stay in good health. Bottom line.
