lol, great post. Yes. My opinion is that Sanchez passes too much & he's not impressive. == Braylon was also open but that was going to be a really hard throw for Sanchez (& pretty much any other NFL qb). Sanchez is scrambling & needs to throw across the field & behind everyone. If Sanchez puts too much air under the ball, there's a risk the defender has time to run back. Also, no way Sanchez can make that throw unless he stops & plants which might not be a good idea because he's outside the pocket & has a hurt leg. Better to take the more sure pass attempt & get into FG range.
I have no doubt he could have made that throw. The problem was he was feeling the defense barreling down on him and had already locked in on Cotchery. He obviously wasn't thinking about trying to find another receiver at that point.
Does he have to mention every word in that sentence? He was just implying it's nice to hear elite in the same sentence, it's not like they said there was no way in hell Mark will ever be elite.
I liked 'potential' more used with playing in Febuary....it's not just Sanchez that is impressing. To 'play like a Jet' can be applied to a lot of dudes on this team. A lot of times plays have to meet at both ends. Sanchez to LT. Sanchez to Santonio. Sanchez to Keller. Sanchez to Edwards. Sanchez to Cotch. This whole offense plays with a fire under their ass. It does take a good leader in Sanchez but they are all making plays. It's starting to work as planned on paper only the future will tell the rest of the story.....SB or bust baby!
