    Jets Roster

They can activate Cumberland (technically a TE) and deactivate Cotchery for a game or two

They could Patrick Turner or Payne Logan off the PS, but that would require cutting someone on the current 53 man roster

McKnight is supposed to be a good receiver ...

I would assume that Brad Smith and L.T. will play a bigger role in the passing game. Fine with me, both of those guys have big play potential.

that's a good point that I hadn't thought of. Do you think he knows the routes well enough though? The CS has probably had him focus solely on RB and ST, accumulating very little (if any) time at WR during practice

    Edwards, Holmes, Keller, Smith, LT

We'll be okay, we did fine without Holmes.

I doubt Cumberland will be active, and although McKnight does have good eceiver skills..I doubt that would happen.

He probably knows them better than any FA not named Coles that we could pick up.

Is Turner still on our PS?

    Yes, Turner is still there.

Rex praised him for playing Calvin Johnson in the preparations for the Lions game.

I doubt someone gets cut though though, unless they're confident one of them can make it to the PS.

    Turner blows at special teams.

McKnight has been playing all around the field, offense and defense. He may not know all of the routes but in his position it should be easy to learn some underneath routes.

I hate hearing that we're thin at WR. How many teams have a 4th WR that isn't an unknown or a retread/JAG? I'd rather have Brad Smith.

Joe McKnight will probably take Cotchery's spot on the active roster.

I'd really like to see him get a few reps against the Texans.

I don't think Cole will be ready for the Texans game, it didn't sound like a one week recovery injury, so McKnight should be active regardless.

We will probably have the same inactive list as last weak except Cotchery in Mulligan's spot.

Heard on WFAN today that it is still uncertain weather Cotch will play against Houston sunday. That was surprising I would figure this injury would take as long as 4 weeks.Anyone heard the diagnosis?

I don't think they gave a time table yet, they probably will at tomorrow's press conference.

They did say he felt better than he thought he would...and are optimistic.

I'm guessing he will return Monday Night against New England.

The 11 days inbetween Thanksgiving vs Bengals and the MNF game should be good.

Anyway we possibly sign Coles for a couple games and cut Dixon? Or Are we better off bringing up Turner or Logan?
