Well like I said we ran the ball more than we threw it yesterday. We needed the passing game to win though - again.
Did anyone else notice how on Sanchez's almost pick to Elam, Santonio tipped the ball away after the initial deflection? Elam would've picked it off but Holmes made a sick play. Heads up play.
Look dude you what tell on the road were this team put a 170 on the ground and held the other to 14 points is not the reason why the Jets beat the Bengals and the Chargers it's not something I'm buying. He played good and did his part in those games.
So what are you complaining about? Because he didn't throw for 300 and 4 TD'S? He was a rookie QB and the Coaching staff did a good job with him in the playoffs, letting him do his part but not throw it 40 times....that would be retarded. He eventually will be capable of that, but not as a rookie.
You can also argue they ran too much and played too conservatively in the Baltimore game which cost them a win. They tried attacking the strength of the Baltimore D instead of exploiting their weakness in the secondary and it cost them. The run/pass ratio is a function of what is working. Yesterday we saw them gain 5-6-7 yards on running plays which makes it easier to stick with the run. If you are 1-2-3 yards on running plays you can't just keep pounding it in there like the Ravens game....gotta mix it up and loosen them up.
I pretty much made a passing post about me personally not liking Mark. That is all about I said to get all this wrath. I hope to god he starts to read plays better and make better throws, but on a team that I think is from the OLine to the Dline is tops in the NFL or at the very lease in the mix...... I don't like Sanchez.
Taking that into consideration, Mark still shouldn't be throwing the ball 40 times. The gets out of hand in my eyes because of all the passing the OC is calling. Our QB is good enough. That's my feeling, we throw too much. And on Keller, I was saying that the Jets need to run more plays for him. We know since week one teams have been keying in on Keller. I don't think it's coverage thing. I don't think we are focused on Keller the ball since Homles got back. Move him, drag him, run plays that get him open.
So I guess the announcers were watching a different game yesterday when they kept saying the Jets were looking for Keller all day? Guess what man, he was covered.
Not really trying to Bash Mark, so it's not a 10 top or this rookie or that second year QB. Just be more accurate and make better reads. There are alot of QB's out there who do that, and I want our QB to do that too.
I didn't read all the responses in here but we didn't run slants because... we usually suck at them. The Packers demolished our slants and the lions had near picks off of them as well.
I was reluctant to bring this up but your right. We had guys like Holmes and Cotchery dropping slant patterns for two weeks in a row before this. Also Sanchez seems to have a bit of an issue not throwing the ball as hard as he can for these passes. The game winner yesterday was executed much better all around, obviously.
not worth it.......................................On second thought it is: I am sorry, today you come to this site to express hatred for Sanchez and cant understand why people are calling you an idiot in nice terms mind you, then you sir are a complete fucking idiot. At the very "lease", you need a brain.
What's the deal with blue font? It's almost as annoying as your comments regarding our QB. What more do you expect from him? This is only year 2 of hopefully many, the kid is doing pretty damn well in my eyes.
