Hey guys So I work at a company that received jets and giants tickets from another company...the 4 giants tickets were for yesterday's game against the cowboys, and the 4 jets tickets are for the texans game on sunday. I just found out that my bosses/co-workers weren't able to get into the giants game yesterday as people had already arrived for those seats. My brother-in-law and I (we work together) are now thinking our tickets are bootleg. I looked at the account number on the ticket and it reads: 9999999. Has anyone heard about this happening, or how this does happen? The ticket looks completely legit, and I guess I will be bringing it home to compare to my Ravens ticket from week 1. Any help on the topic would be appreciated. Thanks.
Did the other company send them as a courtesy for doing mutual business or did your company purchase them from some shady ticket agency? If the situation was the former, that is some cheesy shit right there. If it's the latter, then your bosses are dumb as rocks.
Get there before the other people, if the bar code will even work. Tell this company to meet you at applebees, unless it was applebees...then your fucked.
Call the ticket office and read the bar code number to the rep. They will tell you if tick is legit or not.
Heres what happened. They bought the tickets. They sold/gave you guys the tickets. Then they went online and printed off the tickets which then negates the real tickets. I don't know what to tell you. It's the one major problem with printing tickets.
No, they gave them fake tickets. The numbers are 9999999 Read the topic before you post, soxxxxxxxxxx.
if its a company, you may have some legal room to stand on in regards to counterfitting charges... but really it comes down to, do you really want to go through all that. like, i get it- it sucks you thought you had legit tix and now you don't (or at least it appears that way) but at least you didn't pay for them (that's how i read the thread anyway... if you did pay for them, you may be fuxord) you may want to call up the ticketing folks and inform them company X is handing out fake tickets.
As far as I know it was a gift from another company that does business with our company. When I heard what happened to them (my coworkers), I thought that people reprinted their tickets after claiming they were lost, making the original ones invalid. When I noticed the Acct. No. being 9999999 a few hours ago, I can't imagine that being legit.
i know the company i work for has been getting legit tickets for years, i figured its the same company...anyways, i just called the ticket office and she wasn't much help, i told her the acct number is 9999999 and asked if that could be legit, and she didnt really give an answer, i have to find out who/what company purchased the tickets
