goes right thru the meadowlands...... if u want to count the 68 raider game as an equivalent so be it but this would be the first of its kind for this team and a huge, huge event for this franchise. man its hard to get to that game in any given year but to have the golden opportunity arrive 2 years in a row would be a real nice feather in the cap - hopefully taking that into february. hard not to get ahead of ourselves but things are rounding into place nicely for us and obviously the 2 games against the pats and steelers will do alot to dictate the final pecking order. geez imagine if this holds out thru the year. these boards are gonna explode. enjoy jil
it's only week 10. I'll rejoice if we're in the same position in week 17. I still remember when everybody blew their load after the Tennessee game...in 2008.
We really need to win the next 3, get to 10-2, and put NE at 9-3. They have 4 at home against good teams (Indy,GB,NYJ,Mia) But they have a cream puff road sked. Det,Chi,Buf.
I would wait until the regulation season concludes before posting something like this. Bring it back after the regular season ends :jets:
No, remember in '01 when we were 7-1 on the road? then lost in the WC rd on the road. we need to be at home for at least one week this postseason.
They have Indy & we have Pitt so I think they cancel each other out We play Cinncy & they play Det We play Hout & they have GB All the rest are exactly the same :jets:
It's all about DEC. 5th & 6TH ... Jets vs Pats Steelers vs Ravens We should all be 9-2 or 8-3 going into that weekend. The winners should take their divisions and could face eachother in the AFC Championship Game ... but we can't sleep on the Colts ... especially if they beat the Pats next week. The losers will be the two Wildcards.
We're tied with New England, that's the unsettling part. If we don't get them out of the way we could end up 12-4 and still go on the road the first week of the playoffs.
We still have to play the Pats AND Steelers. Plus there's so much season left that anything can happen, and I do mean anything. We could end up 10-6 just as easy as we could end up 13-3. One game at a time.
What I'm worried about also. Steelers weren't even close to challenging the Pats. Between the Pats & Jets, we're gonna have a wildcard team w/ 11+ wins. === Can't celebrate homefield advantage until after the Jets/Pats game.
Your threads are all crazy to me. You either start doom and gloom threads about how the Jets may never win a game again or you post threads like this one getting way ahead of everything. So far this year you have started threads about the Jets going 0-3 and another thread about the Jets matching the win streak in 86 and now this one about the AFCCG. I am baffled.
This is why you always root against your division foes, even if the out-of-division team also looks like a threat. Pittsburgh or Baltimore might not ever matter, New England is our primary obstacle until we get past them. That's the difference between a bye/second round home game and going on the road the whole time--no matter how many games we win and how good our tiebreakers are.
