I really hope that someone wins the NFC West with a sub 500 record. Hopefully they would re-evaluate automatically giving a home playoff game to the 4 division winners.
The Ravens did get jobbed on that call. White pushed the defender to the ground when he came out of his break.
I also didn't understand that. He wasn't their primary punt returner for years when he was younger and wasn't injured all the time. Now he is? Are they really that out of options? I know Zbikowski is injured, but what about Chris Carr?
there is no reason to re-evaluate it just because a division is bad. you break conferences up into divisions and award divisional winners playoff spots. reevaluating that is as asinine as reevaluating conferences just because a conference is week, like all the dumb fuck talk back in the 90's that the Cowboys and 49ers should play in the Super Bowl. the moment you say a divisional winner doesn't get a playoff spot you make divisions irrelevant, and thus conferences. is that what you want, one big league with no divisions and no conferences, and you seed the top 12 teams and let them duke it out in brackets. I'm sure you also have the brilliant solution to scheduling, not to mention you would eliminate playing the same opponents every year, nevertheless twice a year, and thus eliminate season rivalries as well. please tell us how you are going to reasonably account for all the dynamics that exist in the NFL by eliminating divisions.
Pretty poor job of officiating and right in line with the way this season has gone. He didn't just push off, he stiff armed him in the face. And the angles sucked on this replay. Is this the best the NFLN can do?
I'm not sure how much they can regret that, Jake Long is pretty damn good too. It's not like they took Chris.
Current AFC Playoff Picture: 1. New York Jets (6-2) 2. Pittsburgh Steelers (6-2) 3. Kansas City Chiefs (5-3) 4. Tennessee Titans (5-3) 5. New England Patriots (6-2) 6. Baltimore Ravens (6-3) 7. Indianapolis (5-3) 8. Oakland (5-4) 9. Houston (4-4) 10. Jacksonville (4-4) 11. Miami (4-4) 12. San Diego (4-5) 13. Cleveland (3-5) Cool to be the #1 seed at the moment, but there are still 8 weeks left and much up for grabs. Literally 13 teams are still alive for 6 spots. The Jets can make it 12 teams on Sunday though.
How amazing would it have been if they took Vernon... I still think if Vernon and Chris swapped places they'd both be successful. Vernon could have been a good 4-3 DE, and Chris a good 3-4 OLB.
Well, lucky for you, I have no sway on scheduling, playoff seeding, divisions, conferences or anything remotely related. And no, I hadn't even thought through the scheduling part of it, and nor do I intend to. I just think it's weak that divisions are held on equal footing. I don't know of a better alternative, but doesn't mean that the big brains in the room for the NFL couldn't look at it. But if they do look for someone who's got it all figured out, I'll be sure to pass them along to you, because since you've implied I have no idea, you must?
I don't know...it didn't look that bad to me. He puts his hand out, but I don't know if he pushed him.
i dont buy it the asshole just loves the spotlight and drama way too much and some dumb team will be desperate enough to sign him in training camp
It's gonna be funny when Brett Favre tries to pull that shit next offseason and the Vikings have a new HC in place who doesn't give a fuck if he comes back or not.
Same, just sayin that by 11:30 PM Sunday it's entirely possible the Jets are the undisputed #1 team in the conference.
Mike'd Up starts around that time....so I'm sure their will still be some disputing about that even if the stats say otherwise.
You managed to jinx Atlanta and then jinx Baltimore! Interesting comparison, because the choice is clear there too. Definitely ours. Ravens don't have any corners. Bad idea. With the lead, you don't score and instead run clock. Without the lead, you take the TD. If you don't, you're not assured of scoring.
