Not everyone can ball all year long like Mark... Personally I think its a dumb move, that stunts Henne's growth another year. Good for us. If the Mets were a football team they would do something like this. Stunt the development of a young player to field a team that does not have a great shot at winning it all this year.
They should rename the "Comeback player of the year" award to the Chad Pennington award. That being said, Chad Pennington is the man, I've always liked him. I wish he didn't have a noodle for an arm, but he's a hell of a guy.
Thank god, maybe he'll get Brandon Marshall to not be a waste for my fantasy team. He has to be better than Chad "Davonne Bess deserves 18 targets a game" Henne.

If two weeks ago you told me that this coming Sunday's Miami/TN game would feature Chad Pennington at QB for the Dolphins and Randy Moss at WR for the Titans I'd ask what planet you lived on.
Happy for Pennington but I wish he was on a team I could root for. My fear is he gives them a boost and keeps them in the race.
It hurts Henne for sure, but I think it helps the Dolphins greatly. Henne in the past 3 games has 1 TD, and 5 picks, Pennington will reverse that immediately. Teams can stack the box much more now, we all know Chad can't spread the field. Bess should see a lot more action now, Marshall will be too far downfield to be effective. lol
Just in time for a.... Pennington vs Sanchez thread fiesta!!! Is Henne really playing that bad he he needs to be benched? I love Chad, but that shoulder of his is finished. I expected him to be able to fade off into the history books from here. Last thing he needs is another big hit.
It could help Henne to get a break while he's struggling, you never know. Pennington isn't going to take his job long term, this is for a spark to stay in the hunt right now. Henne could be back in there by the time we play them, like Ryan and O'Brien back in the day.
