Ha! good point. The jets agent told me the seats were available due to an upgrade. Who the heck knows if that's really the case or if they are seats the Jets were holding off the market until now...
my guess is that what you were told is accurate. They aren't getting upgrades from the Upper Deck or the 2500. 4000 or 5000 PSLs. The likeliest place is somebody who was already in for 10K in 135 and sat in the cold shady side wind last week and decided it was worth it to upgrade to clubseats to get inside and out of the weather. 135, 137, 140 and 142 are the likeliest lower deck frozen tundra side STH to want to move to the GHC or up to the clubs in the mezzanine to warm up.
I'm in 142 and to be perfectly honest I didn't even notice the weather when in my seat. I had on a fleece and a sweatshirt over it. No hat and didn't audible to the hood all game. Much ado about nothing. Now, in the plaza at the half it was windy as all hell.
Agree, didn't think it was uncomfortably cold. As for the upcoming games in November and December, I'm pretty sure it won't matter what side you're on because it will be gloomy and cold even on the Jets sunny side.
fleece and a sweatshirt? On the opposite side, we were in shirtsleeves for almost the entire game. I agree that it will be the same for most of the remaining games since (other than Buffalo) they will all be at 4PM or at night, but on a sunny Sunday afternoon, there is no comparison between the frozen tundra of the visitors side and the sunny tropics of the Jets side
Once the cold weather comes, the chicks and kids will dissapear and its only the real fans. If we had a roof, we would never get rid of those texting, chatty, dumb people that ruin the scene. I thought the crowd has been great excpet for the pack game. Maybe we need to play at 4pm and 8pm?
HAHA- It's so true, I see a lot of assholes just looking at their phones most of the game. Or I hear, "you should see this view it's like so cool." God forbid they watch the games put down their damn phones and cheer just a little bit.
so true. cat wait for the miami game. thats when business will pick up. and i only check my phone during tv timeouts for fantasy scores.
Received another survey via email at 10am, haven't opened it yet but I'm doing it now. This question really pissed me off- What is your favorite part of being a season ticket holder? Allows me to conduct business in a unique and special way Allows me to share an exciting experience with my family and friends Helps me express my passion and commitment for the New York Jets Having the same seat for every game Gives me access to something that only a limited number of people can experience Gives me a sense of community Provides a great entertainment option on the weekends The connection I feel to the New York Jets WTF??
That's a 'Corporate Crowd' question. In other words, if you spent $250,000 on Jets tickets, maybe you made a handshake at the game that will make you $500,000. That's life in 2010.
Holy crap that was a long survey. In every box I mentioned crowd noise, if you agree please do the same.
Can you post a link to the survey. The Giants sent out this survey last week. It had this exact same question (with Giants). I was able to lie to them that I had an account and complete it. I ranted about the parking and told them that I don't care about an "experience", I just want to watch a football game.
How would you be sent this survey from the Giants if you didn't have season tickets with them? And why would you go through the trouble of letting the Giants ticket office know your thoughts on the new Stadium. Don't mean to ask you 1,001 questions, just curious to know.
A link to the survey was posted on a message board. I wanted to complain about most everything. I asked for someone to post the link to the Jets survey so I could complain again. I do go to most of the Giants games too. Tailgating nearly every week of the season is great.
I try to conduct my business in the privacy of my own bathroom and have not had to use the Meadowlands for this purpose even though the bathrooms are nicer that the old place.
Meadowlands lost power at the Giants game today TWICE and they had to delay the game because Fox lost its signal. At least it wasn't a Jets game
