I hate to cheer for an injury, especially for a kid and team I'd like to see be successful, but not having him just keep handing the ball off that late in the game up 10 was stupid. This is what teams get for greed! http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/11/09/more-signs-that-matthew-staffords-season-is-over/ More signs that Matthew Stafford's season is over Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on November 9, 2010 1:52 PM ET Florio passed along a report this morning that the Lions were worried quarterback Matthew Stafford's season was over. A report from Mike O'Hara of Fox Sports Detroit indicates their fears will be realized. Stafford is believed to have a Grade 3 separation of his right shoulder, which is worse than the injury that knocked him out for five games earlier this season. O'Hara's source says Stafford is unlikely to play again and the headline to the article says Stafford won't return. Stafford appeared to be in pain at various points of Sunday's game against the Jets, often wincing or rotating his shoulder. It's a devastating blow to a team otherwise on the rise. The last two Lions seasons should have mostly been about Stafford's development, but he's only been able to start thirteen games combined.
Chad was one of the smartest and most accurate QBs in history. No way in hell Stafford is any where close to that. Stafford has a big arm though.
Is Sanchez the Pennington but a stronger arm and not injury prone? Is Danny Woodhead the new Wayne Chrebet? Is Wes Welker the new Wayne Chrebet? Is Tim Dwight the new Wayne Chrebet? Is Julian Edelman the new Wayne Chrebet? Is Leon the new Wayne but black? Is Eric Smith white or black?
I was thinking of him but forgot how to spell it. Moose Johnston too as a FB. If you want to go back, Craig James and Rob Carpenter, there have to be a few besides them, they were the 80s.
