who do you think gets sacked first? as of now news is there's a 4pm press conference in dallas. poll coming.
If Jones dosen't can him, he's a complete idiot. That being said, Wade still is the coach of Dallas tomorrow.
Jones basically said heads will roll w/o naming Wade specifically. He'll be gone by 5 pm today imo. Childress earned himself a stay of execution with that win yesterday despite his jackassery in the post game press conference.
Jerry Jones should fire himself. Jones is the problem in Dallas, not Phillips. Jones constantly meddles with the team and overrules the coaches decisions. Jones gets rid of any coach who doesn't kiss his butt. The coaching staff are just a bunch of sycophants and flunkies and the players can see it. You can't expect the players to take the coaches seriously.
I really don't see Jerry Jones firing Wade Phillips before the end of the year. They have some sort of tight relationship and respect, and I just feel like Jones would wait until the end of the season. Childress on the other hand doesn't have that sort of relationship with his owner, so I can see him getting fired mid-season.
wade...even though childress should have been fired already for wasting a 3rd on a guy you had for 3 games
childress was just given a contract extension last year. he has won the division 2 straight years. coaches contracts are guarenteed. thread sucks
so sorry was going off hte drama lately. you have no right bringing common sense into my thread dammit. edit: wait. are you saying.. and i'm being serious here now, that coaches can't be fired mid contract? bc i was under the impression that's exactly what happened to mangini. a lil help here.
yeah i'm F5 bombing twitter and NFL.com.. i'm not seeing anythin.... can we confirm this? if so. lol@dallas.
although Jay Glazer is reporting: Numerous stations is dallas are reporting wade has been fired and jason garrett promoted. Coaches have not been told a single thing yet
Agree with the poster who says Jones should fire himself. He needs to step down from his sub-ownership roles and allow someone else to manage his team. By seizing an increasing amount of actual, delineated control (as opposed to te implicit control he's always held), he's exacerbated the problems that he was always content to blame on his staff. Here he is, poised to do it again, and making me think that it's going to take an Al Davis-like crypt lock up to effect real change in Big D.
