I'm thinking outside of Holmes' play in OT, the game changer was Trevor's roughness penalty on their kicker. I guess hurting opposition players does pay off now and then...
They dont? Helmet to helmet, Steelers are always in there and they're as dirty as they come. Just ask James Harrison.
Watching the game, Me and my dad were screaming about how dirty the Lions were. I honestly think they hit the Jets a minimum of 15 times after the whistle had blown
IIRC, wasn't the same said about Denver's OL when they went back-to-back? There was a big push from the players to take those blocks out of the game around that time.
Pryce's roughing play gave the Lions 3 more points. There was nothing good about it, aside from getting to enjoy a Suh PAT.
Cmon.. That's like bringing up Ronnie Lott, Jack Tatum, George Atkinson, Rodney Harrison and a few other notable borderline/hard hitting players. Helmet to helmet is not the norm. Dirty play is not the norm in the playoffs. Perhaps this year, helmet to helmet is getting the notariety because of the concussions and the permanent damage they cause. Knee shots taken today by the Lions, while borderline legal, is still inexcusable. Since the Detroit QB is as brittle as hot glass in dry ice, its just a matter of time until he gets his or some other notable Lions player few as they may be. Your team played dirty, not ours. I'm hoping before the season over that you reap what sown today. In spades.. q

Stafford's not a pussy, did you see him last year win a game with the shoulder injury? He's just not durable/unlucky.
4 pt swing there definetly. I'm looking at this emotionally which perhaps, isn't a good thing. I saw our team get cheapshotted all damn day and it got on my nerves.
Well that's just bound to happen in this case. Cheap-ass motherfuckers. I don't know about anything else but my response to Bart's personal foul on Cherilus was "good looking out". I swear to God I saw Raiola pull a senton bomb on one of the Jets' defenders well after the ball carrier was tackled and the play blown dead. I really don't usually mean this, but I'm glad their players got injured. Fucking assholes like that deserve it.
lots of dirty plays from the lions we dont see em for 4 yrs unless its a jets lions superbowl so i doubt anything comes of it except some fines
Two things: DLF is not a troll....like Ron Burgundy, just agree to disagree And did anyone else hear Bart Scott say something to the effect of, "Come December, it's nut-cutting time", in his locker room interview?? Sorry, i dont have a link just saw the late edition of Postgame live on SNY
They were dirty and cheap. A few things When the going got tough, they wilted. With the game on the line they got out toughed. The Jets luckily didn't have any players hurt. While the cheaper team had a number of players hurt. I thought all the taunting and such would piss the Jets off more. It seemed like the Lions were beaking off and taunting quite a bit for a 2-6 team. I guess they are trying to get an identity. The Lions will be a good team in the next few years.
