...was when a Jets QB threw for 300 yards or more until today. In that span of 59 games (including playoffs), Favre started 16, Sanchez started 26, Pennington started 8, while Clemens started 9 games. Jets have gone 30-29 in that span.

Chad Pennington was the last 300 yard passer for the Jets on January 7th, 2007 against NE in a playoff loss.

That is a long time and Sanchez needed an OT to reach the 300 mark. We may not see it happen again for a long time, hopefully.

PS: I meant to put 46 months in the title.

Favre never threw for 300 yards? I mean he had like 6 touchdowns in one game against the Cardinals, but never 300? Interesting fact thanks.

Good stuff Mark, he would've had back to back 300 yard games if receivers could catch last week.

Yeah, he had 289 yards in that game. Had 300 yards against Chiefs as well, but thats as close as he got to 300 yard 'mark'.

Yeah when I first heard this a few weeks ago that's what initially surprised me. I could've swore that Favre had a 300 yard game with the Jets

This is a really interesting stat. Obviously we are a run first team and if a QB has a 300+ game then it probably means we're down, so I agree with the "hopefully." Sanchez might have been inconsistent for the first 3 and a half quarters but he showed some poise and intelligence with the game on the line.

If you count the yards opposing DBs ran back on interceptions Favre easily surpassed 300 yards a couple times.

It helped us get rid of Brett Favre, Eric Mangini and 'his' players, and helped us get Braylon and Sanchez. I'm sort of ok with that record, a winning one to say the least.

Passing stats are often for losers. I'll take a win and low passing yards any day of the week.

I'd be more interested in knowing when the last time the Jets rallied late to overcome a 2 score deficit and win. I can't remember. Was it the Monday Night Miracle?

The last game I can honestly remember us pulling it off was the 4th game of the 2000 season under Al Groh @ Tampa Bay. Both teams were 3-0 and it as clearly the game of the week, billed as the fight for NFL supremacy. Vinny threw a few really bad interceptions earlier in the game and had been benched for a series but returned to lead us back to victory with Curtis Martin throwing that halfback pass to Chrebet for the winning score. We were definitely down two scores midway through the 4th quarter in that game.

Also, John Abraham forced a fumble on a strip sack of Shaun King (I think) to ge the ball back for us to win the game with Martin's halfback pass

The Monday night miracle was 2 weeks after that.

oh, I wasn't even counting that because by 5 minutes or so left in the game, it was a one score game.

The last game I can remember that resembled yesterday's comeback was that Tampa game. I could totally be wrong, though
