Pretty awesome, and pretty unlikely. - All 3 AFC East teams lost. - The only AFC/NFC interleague matchup was won by the NFC (Eagles over Colts). - The 2 other AFC/AFC intraleague matchups were won by the team with the worse record coming into the game (Oakland over KC; SD over HOU). The Sunday night game doesn't affect us (unless there's a tiebreaker thing with GB or something?). We're a Steelers loss away from a perfect week.
This week has panned out well so far but we now as Jet fans have to expect every team to play us like its their Superbowl from here on out.Sure seams like the Lions did.Until the final 4 minutes that is!
Makes two of us. People talking about how they're the best team in New York or in the NFC. They haven't beaten anyone. When they played the high quality teams of the AFC they lost both.
Oakland winning also gives New England a worse draft pick. Hopefully Pitt loses tomorrow night. At this point I'm rooting for the Bills so they don't get the #1 pick. I don't want Andrew Luck in the division..
you know what, I honestly would bet if the Bills are the team on the clock Luck doesnt come out. They are so bad, and it appears Gailey will be back for a 2nd year, barring an 0-16 season. Also I would not be shocked if the Bills took Locker over Luck.... It would be a massive fuckup worthy of the Bills.
Yeah, my bad...I meant worse draft pick. No way Luck is the 1st pick anymore, even the Bills wouldn't be that stupid. I doubt he's even a 1st round pick.
The best part is we just have to worry about what the Jets do. Well, I guess we need one more loss by Baltimore, but it's early yet. I actually don't carry too much about #1 or #2 seed, provided we get the by. Next week it's go Atlanta and go Pittsburgh.
This is ludicrous, the Jets need the Ravens to lose more than the Fins. The Ravens have a game lead on the Jets, that's far more important for the Jets to eliminate, which can only be done if the Ravens lose, than the Dolphins remaining 1 game behind the Jets, which the Jets have direct control for the rest of the season to keep them there. There is no way in hell the Jets are better of trailing the Ravens by a game rather than only being a game ahead of the Fins.
Yeah the giants are not monsters like everyone is making them seem. They are picking on bad teams, which is good for them but wait till they play a division game again against the redskins or the eagles, or enter the playoffs. Main thing is.. it all matters about the the end of the season and who wins the chip.
We have to win the division first. and putting the Fins two games back with the next two games on the pats schedule being against Pitt and Indy, its huge for us to take care of our bussiness the next two weeks. Its pretty easy to see the Pats going 1-1 at best in that stretch and Miami has to play Tenessee and chicago, so them going 1-1 is probably a best case scenario for us. Since the Jets have the Browns and Texans the next two weeks, we really need to take care of business. If we are 8-2 at the end of that stretch, we could be looking at 1.5 game lead in the division. At 8-2, I would be shocked if we aren't the only team with that record in the AFC.
You don't know what's going to happen at the end of the season. What you do know is that the Jets need to have a better record than the Fins to win the division. There are too many variables at this point to be rooting for playoff seeding over divisional standings. One Flacco, Sanchez, Brady injury could really shake things up. The Fins losing today was good.
