Actually to add to my original post about coleman, the fact he can't play inside, and can only play outside is a reason he needs to be let go. Drew Coleman is not the future on the outside, not with Revis and Wilson, along with presumably Cro on the outside. There is no room for him out there.

If K-Dub isnt ready yet, then get Lowery out there at the nickel the man was damn good at it last year. If coleman is going to keep getting torched, then we need to switch it up, give the other guys a chance.

huh? Coleman has been playing great in my opinion.. so far... Yeah he got rosted by manning last year but this year he is on fire.

Due to cro and reivs denying access to their receievers they picked on Coleman alot this game and he actually did a good job... defended some passes well and had a good play on the deep ball early. I didnt see him get his usual physical tackle today but ehh... he is a nickel corner.... and its one game?

Jets fans are just spoiled because we have Revis and now Cromartie. Can't expect every CB to be perfect. QB has to throw at someone.

Coleman has been ok. What do you expect out of a 3rd CB? The throws he got beat on were for the most part thread the needle great throws.

The price the Jets play for blitzing alot and having 2 great CB's, is the nickle and dime CB's get picked on.

I don't think needle throws factor into the equation when Coleman was often a few yards behind Burleson. He played like hot garbage today.

Every CB plays better on the outside.

well its not even close with coleman. He just isnt good enough on the inside. We need somebody in their who can hold their own. Frankly Wilson needs to get up to speed and fast.

I see you're not allowed any bad games anymore. Burleson is a good receiver. Shit happens. This guy has been a difference maker in three other wins by my count. I think he deserves the benefit of the doubt.

You aren't if you're Drew Coleman because you used up your alotted amount about two years ago. And it's not because we have two lockdown corners...he gets picked on now, he got picked on when Lito Sheppard was here, he got picked on when David Barrett was here.

Cant see how anyone can defend him....he either has no clue where the ball is or he is yards away from his coverage. He is horrible.

And Smith? He is an undersized linebacker. He cant defend his own shadow.

Hey..there are not even a few teams that have solid depth at the CB/Safety position...understood...but these guys are bringing nothing to the table.

It must be so easy to gameplan against Rex for the passing game. Just throw at #30. A one-page scouting report. I don't even care about the occasional spark of goodness that he shows, Drew Coleman has single-handedly kept most teams in the game against the Jets.

    God I hate this guy.

Compared to Revis and Cro, sure he isn't nearly up to par, but the guy has at least had some really good plays to go along with the bad. I can understand the people who are wondering why Lowery isn't getting a shot, but do you really want Wilson out there over Coleman?

The kid is 8 games into his career and has a ton of learning to do. Yes, he has great talent and will probably turn out to be an excellent CB once he's got some experience under his belt, but he was getting burned badly early in the year - worse than Coleman IMO. At this point I'm more comfortable with Coleman out there than Wilson, say what you like.

    How can anyone defend Coleman?

He looks just as lost as Wilson when the ball is in the air and doesn't have nearly as much recovery speed.

It seems whenever there has been a wide open completion the last couple weeks, it has been on Coleman.

I swear this guy is my nemesis. Lowery can't be this bad, he just can't be...

    Ding Ding Ding!!!

Agree. I was thinking Rex would move him to the edge and slot one of the other CB's.

He didn't play well yesterday, but he hasn't been awful. He actually does do a good job of finding the ball, there was a play deep along the sidelines that he played perfectly, got position on the receiver and located the ball. He's a good tackler, too. IMO, he's an average nickel corner. Like others have said, we do get spoiled.

All this being said, I wouldn't be against having Lowery get a shot. I think Rex likes to use Lowery as more of a blitzer, though...he's very good at getting to the QB when he's sent.
