for his first game with over 300 yards passing, and becoming the first Jet to achieve this since Chad Pennington passed for 323 yards in week 15 of the 2006 season.

    Nice job.

Wow it really has been that long since we had a 300 yard passer.Just shows how much we are a ground and pound team.

Hm really surprised Favre never had a 300 yard game when he was with us.

    Never mind, he didn't.

Got up to 290. Had a 6 TD game though.

Well thank god for those last 3 drives, he remembered how to play QB.

He is clutch, with all his faults, Sanchez doesn't wither.

This was the fourth time that the Jets have passed for more than 300 yards under Schottenheimer. (wk 1-2006, wk-15-2006, AFCCG-2009, wk 9-2010).
Note: in AFCCG-2009 Sanchez threw 257, Brad Smith threw 45.

This ties the most passing yards the Jets have had in a game under Schottenheimer (323 Sanchez wk 9-2010; 323 Pennington wk 15-2006)

Also, I'll throw out this fact. The last time the Jets passed for over 400 yards in a game was 2000. Week 17 against the Baltimore Ravens. Vinny Testaverde threw 481 yards in a 34-20 loss against the the Baltimore Ravens.

We can also add that in 1998, Testaverde throw a 418 yard game against Seattle in Week 14. They won 32-31. That was the last time the Jets won a game with a 400+ yard game.

And little tidbit, Glen Foley threw for 415 yards in a week 1 loss to San Francisco in 1998.

Can we run the 2 minute drill for the entire next game?

Just watched the end of the game again. Sanchez really stepped up ...looked cool calm and collected. Totally in control of the drill. Impressive.

Props to Keller, LT, Holmes & Folk as well.
Well done fellas. Now if we can carry that momentum...

It was bound to happen sooner or later.

    Good for the kid.

..... well, if the 2 minute drill is his strong suit, then run it more. The Jets with Pennington came out with the no huddle to start a game and usually scored on their first possession. Maybe its time to return to that, score points, let the defense make a stop, and then ground and pound the fuck out of the opponent to a win.

Braylon said that Sanchez is at his best when he doesn't have to think. When he can just execute, he's awesome. That's what we saw in the final portion of the game.

What I would like to see is a strong start for once by the whole offense. They are a 2nd half offense this year, but if they were a 4 quarters offense they'd be pretty deadly.
