Was surprised to see him drafted #1 w/ his injury history. Rams really lucked out there. Risky to grab a qb who underwent surgery before he even enters the NFL.
stafford is a better passer then sanchez but stafford cant stay healthy id rather stick with the healthy guy
The Sanchez of last season might have threw a pick on the game-tying drive from this Lions game. Sanchez and Stafford (if he can stay healthy) are going to be the future stud QBs of the league. I think that's fair to say.
I dont think hes soft as in not tough, hes Pennington like. For all I kno he could be a tough s.o.b. but his body is fragile. You hit him hes injured. Soft to me is Jon Abraham sitting out a small injury he can clearly play through.
It was pretty clear that he re-injured the shoulder at some point earlier in the game. He was favoring it throughout the middle part of the game. Landing on it just made it worse. And Sanchez didn't look good for the most part, but I don't know how much is really his fault. The timing between him and his WRs just looked completely off for most of the game.
Yeah, anyone calling Stafford soft is a complete moron. He's not soft, he's about as tough as any QB I've seen over the past couple seasons. Fragile? Absolutely, but he's played through a lot of pain in his short career thus far. DLF is right, he was clearly hurt and favoring his shoulder earlier in the game but played through it. That off balance pass to Burleson was a missile and he immediately grabbed his shoulder after. People could also remember last year coming back in the game a couple plays after separating his non throwing shoulder and throwing a TD pass to win a game for the Lions.
Hes a tough fucker but will he last? Detroit better hope so hes got a lot of talent poor guy is always hurt though.
Who knows? He didn't miss a beat in college and got hit quite a bit. Guys like AD and Bradford are viewed as injury risks coming into the league and neither looks that way now. Sometimes, it's just dumb luck.
once you've dislocate your shoulder you're very susceptible to doing it again. It's like a bad back, once you've injured it it's for life.
