If his shoulder was that susceptible to injury, 2K.....then maybe Stafford shouldn't have played.

If Stafford landed funny on it...then that's a different story....and perhaps that was the case. But looking at the hit...it looked pretty routine.

This is true. He was pretty solid at UGA, I think he's just had a series of unfortunate events since coming into the NFL. And once you hurt your shoulder once, it's so much easier to re-injure it. Sucks for Lions fans

    But he can't.

    Stafford is Mr. Glass.

This is what's confusing me though. Lions had no shot @ wild card & the rest of the team is really starting to improve. Why bring in Stafford if he's not fully healed? He's a franchise qb & it's better in the long run to sit out the extra games.

Either Stafford came back too early or he's brittle. Considering Lions aren't in playoff contention, they should pull Stafford out for this season & just make sure he spend the rest of this season & off season recovering. 100% healthy Stafford (that won't get injured) + Lions offense plus some good draft picks on LB & DB can push for .500 of playoff spot next season.

At some point you need to develop the kid. If Stafford ends up being OK after the hit he took today you look at it as a positive: he led his team to a 10 pt lead against one of the best defenses in the NFL. If he ends up being hurt than call in Captain Hindsight

On a side note, what game were the rotoworld people watching?

As soon as I saw the Sanchez blurb, I expected to read "it's a career-high passing game for Sanchez, who finally showed he can throw his team a 4th quarter win."

Instead, we get a Miami fan blurb. I can't even fathom what Sanchez is going to look like when he "jump starts" next week.

And the Edwards "lob" was actually a perfectly thrown deep ball on single coverage. So yeah, I guess if you throw that out, then Sanchez did have a mediocre arm and he couldn't capitalize on one-on-one coverage.

Ridiculous. "Throw out his game-changing plays and he never would have changed the game." Yes, that is correct.

This is exactly why the Lions should have taken a tackle like Okung last year, sorry but your QB being upright is more important than an interior defensive lineman, even as good as Suh has looked, they could have easily addressed the DT position latter in the draft

"Throw out a blown-coverage, 74-yard touchdown lob to Braylon Edwards and Santonio Holmes' 52-yard run-after-catch reception, and Sanchez's line would've been 20-for-37 for a scoreless 210 yards (5.7 YPA). Perhaps a Week 10 date with Cleveland will get Sanchez jump-started, but we wouldn't bet on it. He's struggling."

That was not a blown coverage....and LOL at "Throw them out"

    Just heard a funny joke:

"Rex Ryan considered benching Sanchez for Mark Brunell down 20-17 in the final 2 minutes. Rex was concerned with Sanchez's stamina and cardiovascular ability. He also questioned his grasp on the playbook. In the end, he stuck with Sanchez and it worked out."

Good point on developing the kid. It really sucks to have your franchise qb constantly injured. Really puts the organization in a bind when deciding to rest/play the big contract qb.

Yeah it's a tough spot, you need to protect your investment but if your investment can never make it out there what's the point? We know this all too well with Pennington all those years.

Gotta remember the Lions are in the NFC and in a not so strong division. If they had won this game they would've only been 2 games back for the division still having to play the Bears and Packers once more so im sure they werent just gonna give up. I'm not so sure the Lions can win games on a consistent basis without Stafford at QB. Risky move I know but nobodys gonna want to IR their franchise QB unless they really have to.

    Who the fuck said that?

Of course a player looks like he's struggling if you throw out his good plays. How about calling the plays on the no-huddle?

Stafford has injured both shoulders. And didn't he get hurt in college?

And let's also take into consideration that Stafford has had one of the best receivers in football to throw to. The Jets' receivers have not helped Sanchez this year or last. After 8 drops last week, and some awful drops last year, there were a few more today.

And the throw to Keller that led to his own TD was a perfect pass as was the throw to Holmes.
