I was just going to start one of these...Moore and Revis made their 2 young stars, Suh and CJ, irrelevant. Brandon Moore is the best guard in the NFL according to Rex Ryan, he is really backing up that title.
The only time I heard Suh name called was when he missed the field goal. Great job by Moore and all of our line, I think Sanchez only got sacked once...
In the last year and half Moore has given up only 0.5 sacks. Best run blocking lineman on one of the best lines in football. This guy definitely should get big all-pro consideration.
As some of you may know I have always been a fan of Moore's. I'm so happy he's finally getting the recognition
Brandon Moore retires. Though never a star, Moore was a solid player for us for a long time. Best of luck, young man.
Always thought he played well for us and even came back for less money when Tanny was playing dirty tricks to appease Mevis. Hope he gets into broadcasting for the Jets.
Smh at NFL Network when announcing his retirement mentioning 'one half of the buttfumble' I mean was that necessary?
Brandon Moore and Damien Woody shows what a spectacular failure Tannenbaum was. Now that Slauson bolted in free agency - his failures are magnified. To get it straight: 1. Starters will get, on average, 5M/year. 2. Since some will play on rookie contract, that can shift some of the salary to the important pieces. 3. That said, Jets OL only featured Slauson playing on his rookie contract 4. And Tannenbaum shelled out ~$20M to Mangold and Ferguson 5. No wonder he had to force Moore and Woody out. The cap structure was seriously fucked. 6. The problem is, in doing so, he didn't get replacements ready. He kept trading his picks away. Other than Ducasse and Slauson, Jets didn't draft OL in a while. And this was a line that had three impending holes. Jets lucked out when Slauson managed a serviceable job even when Faneca was released. The other gambles [Ducasse/WFH] didn't quite work out. 7. At least this GM treats draft picks like gold that they are. Just wait for two to three years. Jets will be back on track.
Till his contract runs out. Once it runs out, he's retiring. No team will touch that bust with 10 foot pole. He will have to do a REAL good job of improving - and he will have to do it real quick. Or he's not playing another down in this league soon.
Brandon Moore surprised the hell out of me. The Jets picked him up as a defensive lineman and converted him to OL. He spent a few years as a backup and I expected him to be cut, but he ended up emerging as a starter of one of the best offensive lines in the NFL for a couple of years. I'm so glad I stopped watching NFL news on TV, so I don't have to see this guy denigrated by NFLN with their pathetic attempts at humor. Brandon Moore was a model New York Jet and will be missed.
