I know there are already a few "Coleman Sucks" threads, but I just think there can never be enough. I think Stafford has 19 completions to this point, at least half must be on our man Drew.
you think the coaching staff would give lowery or wilson a fucking chance over this automatic completion garbage?
I'm bumping this because I would hate for Drew Coleman's suckitude to go underappreciated in the afterglow of this victory.
The dude has been playing solid, what are they going to do? Look into the future and see him playing terrible today? Ok, they maybe should have pulled him in the game or rotated a bit, but Wilson was getting harassed in the beginning of the season as well. We won so fuck it, relax.
I could not stand Coleman after last year in Indy and I still don't want him on this team. But he has had games where he had played well. I cannot call hinm worthless, but he is very inconsistent.
He's gonna get beat sometimes, it happens. I would like to see Kyle Wilson covering tight ends on 3rd down tho.
The Drew Coleman experiment needs to end. He was terrible for years, looked serviceable for a few weeks this year but recently he has returned to his old form. Wilson, Lowery or Cole can't be this bad.
watching coleman the past few weeks, and more specifically today. I honestly think he plays better on the outside than inside. When he has the sideline as basically a second defender, he seems to be pretty good. Put him inside, and with the receiver having the ability to go any direction, he gets turned around too easily.
No, look into the past and see him playing terrible all the time. I'm not calling for him to be benched because I trust the coaches, and if the coaches say he's the best option on the team for a third CB, then so be it. But he suuuuuuuucks.
I thought Wilson always played well inside... I don't understand why he doesn't get that job back. On the outside he looked meeeh but inside he always looked competent.
Do we want this to happen again?! How are Wilson (1st round pick) and Lowery (2 years of starting experience) not superior to this guy?
agreed, but I really think that fumble on the punt today put wilson right into the dog house, didnt see him anywhere but specials the rest of the day. K-dub needs to pick it up and practice as hard as he can. We need him to start making strides. If he can get himself into solid Nickel material (as Mambo stated, he has looked much more comfortable there than on the outside) come playoff time, lookout. Which of course is exactly what we need.
