He's been doing it his whole life, no matter how bad or good of a game he is having, Mark Sanchez ALWAYS comes through when it matters, especially on a big stage. His best college game? The Rose Bowl Best stretch of his rookie year? The Playoffs Broke every rookie QB record you can have in the playoffs, and played great. vs. Denver he led us to a win late, and today in OT he did it again....this 23 year old Franchise QB is CLUTCH. He does his best under pressure, when it really matters. (He is a playoff QB, throw stats out the window, he gives us a chance to win) When it's all said and done he always might not have the best stats, but I expect a lot of W's. He has the "it" factor. EDIT 11/14: Game winning TD to Holmes in overtime, 2nd straight OT win, clutch. EDIT 11/21: Game winning TD to Holmes with 10 seconds left, clutch.
i'm incredibly hesitant to use that word. i was saying how clutch Cotch used to be... and these past 2 weeks have killed me. regarding sanchez, his development is still in progress, clearly. but his upside is pretty amazing. he seems to be handling pressure better than last year. its awesome and frustrating at times to watch
Yeah, he definitely steps it up in the crucial situations, but he needs to play better the rest of the way.
We need to let Sanchez throw. Everyone bitching about not running enough, I hope the last 3 games shows you that ground and pound keeps the other team in the game. We need to let Sanchez pass. Have a balanced offense
Cotchery has been frustrating, but he had a few catches down the stretch of this last game, hopefully he can build off of that and get back to playing like we are used to.
I have no problem w/Ground & Pound and I have no Prob w/ the 6 Shooter throwing it either. The problem I have is he OC limiting Sanchez. Wheter it's on the Play calls, the Routes or even audibling...Shotty needs to stop acting like a fukin god and treating these players like babies. Let the Players play, don't Limit their abilities.
He hasn't been at his best in situations like today but he came through and that was a HUGE step in his development. It was an ugly game for most of the day but one we could look back on as a turning point in his career.
They really remind me of the 2000 Ravens. I don't think they had a really "impressive" win all season. I could be wrong though.
I'm curious to know how many plays he got to call (or change) during both 2 min drives (at the end of each half.) Cuz if he does better calling his own plays, or making adjustments based on what he sees, he's gotta be allowed to do that more often.
He sure got the job done today in a meat grinder. He never gave up and that is a good sign. pats lost and the Jets are back in first place could not be better right now.
That's what I mean, even if he struggles throughout the game he usually plays well in the 4th. That's big for a QB you want to ride through the playoffs.
Seems this offense does better with their back against the wall. Cut the cuteness and move the chains... KISS-Keep it simple, Schotty.
