And I believe Red was trying to say he's not good at staying on his feet after a big hit, which is very true. As athletic as he is, his size also creates some awkwardness sometimes in how he runs and/or falls.
Cool, thanks for the info. I think we'll see Revis on him almost exclusively since Cro doesn't match up well with physical receivers and, while he's improved in the area, he's still not a great tackler.
Don't expect any safety help over the top on CJ....Revis will be on him and it will be 10v10 with CJ out of the game.
It's certainly going to be fun to watch. Plus, I think Suh/Williams v. Moore/Mangold/Slausson is also going to be a good matchup.
i know detroit is struggling against the run, but how is suh doing in the run game? i havent really paid attention to him in those situations
Up to this point in the season, SUh is already the Defensive ROTY. I mean he already has more picks than Revis. But come Sunday, Mangold and the Jets offensive line will do their thing and the JETS will come out with the victory in the Motor City.
Seems like Suh and the D-Line are doing their job, but the LBs suck. Suh's definitely the ROY, but if serious, the more picks than Revis thing's stupid. Revis has played in 3 games healthy, and almost gets no throws at him anymore.
If they only had one ROY, then I doubt Suh would win it with the way Bradford has been playing. With that set of WRs/TEs, it's amazing how well Bradford has played.
Could turn out to be a draft ppl discuss many years later. Franchise qb & dominating defensive lineman taken @ #1 & #2. RB picked up w/ Lions & Bills looking good & I'm still thinking Berry over @ the Chiefs will turn into a really good player.
For anyone keeping score for the next 10 years, Suh is up 1 - 0 with zero sacks and 1 INT. Bradford is 0 - 1 with zero TD and 2 INT. I know it was more circumstance than selection that made them pick Sam Bradford but I will always have a small special place in my heart for the St. Louis Rams for gift wrapping this guy and dropping him in our lap. However, I'm sure the way he's playing the Rams have absolutely no problems with the pick. In fact at draft time I felt kind of bad for the Rams. I thought "man, they're handing us this guy AND drafting an un-durable, mediocre by NFL standards QB. He's just another guy." Guess Mr. Bradford has shut me up, at least to this point.
Do you guys actually discuss in here during the game or is it more of a watch the game and come here later?
You will laugh your ass off at certain posters. Mainly firemanedjr who used to be known as takemehomeandstretchmyassholekerryrhodes
Like always with our D, a punt is a good play. Three times last week we didn't punt it and gave up three fgs. When we punted it we gave up zippo.
They're playing at home again, so I see them in or near Detroit. I'll say max scored is 14 point. Stafford has not seen a D like ours, all the different looks, I think confusion will set in. I'm not talking about 3-4, I'm just talking about a defense that shows multiple fronts, safeties all over the place, and man coverage like he's never seen. I fully expect him to test our 1 on 1 matchups, any good QB would, but that's where our great corners come in and a free flying safety.
