I go MJD and Torain vs Detroit's weak run D in a Mike Shanahan offense that is RB friendly. I like Blount too, but he's still a bit of a question mark being a rookie on TB. I have Torain in one of my leagues and I'm starting him with confidence.
Thanks! Fumbles dont count in my one league so Torrain looks a bit better as long as he does not lose his job. Jones seems to get the goal line carries and ripped off a long run to help his yards stats but he shares the backfield. Thats a tough call! TJ could wind up with two TDs and a few yards and Torrain could wind up with 100+ but no TD's I would go with Crayton. SD airs it out. Will VJax play??
mmk. 2nd edition of "what defense should i start?" Redskins @ Detriot Rams at home against Panthers... Dolphins on the road at Cincy only 3 I could use this week. also i still cannot make a decision on to start thomas jones against bills, or LT against Packers..
JFaulk: I'd use the Rams. Only home team on the list, and Moore can turn it over. Torain vs TJ is tough. I think you have to go with Torain. No competition for carries. Both going against rather soft defenses. But if TJ got 90 yards and a TD or 2, I wouldn't be surprised at all. Tough call. Give me Crayton over Mike Williams. Someone has to catch Rivers's passes. Freeman: MJD and Torain. Easy choice, I don't know why you'd consider anything else. Best vs Driver: Easily Best. Driver is going up against the Jets. Come on now. Best is the lone back in Detroit against an average D on the fast turf. Gotta go with him. Even if Driver had a good matchup, I probably go Best.
Yea that's the way I am looking at it as well. I've lost so many RB's this year (Grant, Portis, Taylor, Harrison...I think that is it) that I have been struggling most weeks to find a decent replacement...you start second guessing after awhile. I like what Blount has shown so far and Hart has the allure of playing on an Indy team that could be in a shootout with houston. But MJD and Torrain was the way I've been leaning all week.
Looking at my other league Need 2 to start: Best v. Was Wells v. TB Charles v. Buf I have F Jackson, Greene, BJGE on the bench who should join them? My vote is Charles...anyone see differently?
Im not expert but id say wells and charles. Buff's Rush D isnt very good. Pick 1 Kenny Britt vs SD (best pass defense in the lg, hes bound to slow down sometime) Crayton vs Ten (Rivers needs someone to pass to) Gettis vs STL (Had a big week last week) Braylon vs GB
Crayton is my choice... like you said the top passer in the nfl is going to need someone to catch his throws. Pick 2 Mike Williams SEA vs Oak Welker vs Min Bess vs Steelers Williams has had 2 monster weeks back to back and Bess is producing double digit points consistently now. Welker has done shit the past 4 weeks but he's still Welker.
O.k. standard scoring yahoo league.... Pick two....right now I have the Williams brothers in with Kitna replacing Homo, Austin went into the witness protection program Miles Austin Anthony Gonzalez Big Mike Williams Mike Williams and Orton Big Ben I keep flipping back and forth....the 49ers have sucked and Troy Smith is in....but the Saints/Pitt could be a shoot out...
Mike Wallace @Cin Braylon Edwards @Det Marquees Colston @Car Need to start 2, have Nicks and Jennings already starting (4 wr league)
I'd go Mike Wallace and Braylon PPR League At the Flex Position Danny Woodhead @ Cleveland Steve Smith (NYG) @ Seattle QB Postion Schaub vs SD Big Ben @ Cinci
I'm going Woodhead and Schaub. Hall and Joseph will both be playing for Cincy so Ben is not a great play against them. Woodhead by a close one just because of the extra touches he gets as a screen guy out of the backfield.
Pick two WRs and one FLEX Larry Fitzgerald @ MIN Cedric Benson V PIT Jeremy Maclin V IND Marques Colston @ CAR
Thomas Jones and Blount. I picked up Blount in one of my leagues this week so I'm hoping he can keep up the production. Looks like he'll be getting more and more touches each week.
Need some help, Mendenhall, Tomlinson, McFadden, Rice and Josh Freemon. I can start any three of the five, (flex spot allows for qbs and I have Roethlisburger at the starting qb spot). What you guys think?
Do not sit Peyton Hillis against NE. He's one of the highest scoring and most consistent RBs in fantasy and playing one of the softer run defenses. After that I would probably go with Thomas Jones, but I can see the argument for Blount as well. Wish I had your RBs.
