Here's a source that confirms the claim. Still no official word yet though.

Titans officially put in a claim, but the Dolphins and Raiders are ahead of them...

Makes sense, it's their bye week then they have the Dolphins. HAHA

The time has passed so a team can't go back and claim him now who are ahead on the list.

Unless another team ahead of them had their claim in he's a Titan.

    Good fit, Moss and Britt.

I don't see him getting along very well in Tennessee.

What are your reasons for thinking that way, Don?

I think it could work. Both Tennessee QBs can throw the deep ball and Moss is not going to walk all over Jeff Fisher. Fisher is tough and he is not in trouble of losing his job, so I do not think Moss will criticize this particular head coach.

I don't think he will get along with Fisher at all, for much the same reasons as you mentioned. In fact I expect to see him slouching within the first two weeks.

Fisher handled Haynesworth well, but the coaches in Washington had problems.

Moss is capable of anything, but he is with a highly respected, highly competent head coach again. The only other time he was with such a head coach was in New England and until this season, things were never too weird there.

it goes beyond Belichik in New England, he also had Tome Brady to keep him in line. hard to get out of hand when you have arguable the two best people at their position in charge, who do not allow people to step out of line. they know they could win without Moss and wouldn't be afraid to put him in his place, and that kept Moss in line. but in the end he still became Randy Moss in New England, so no matter what at some point who he is will emerge, it is just a matter of how long he chooses to hold it in.

sure, he has Fisher in Tennessee, but not a QB he probably respects. not only that, but he probably knows that the Titans will be willing to put up with his nonsense by the simple fact that they are an organization that has never won anything and picked him up despite his issues, so he has the upper hand, neither of which bode well for Fisher being able to control him once he decides he isn't happy for whatever reason. Fisher may be a respected coach, but there is a big difference between him and a 3 time Super Bowl winning coach. The Titans feel they need him to win this year, the Patriots just felt he was worth how little they paid to get him and worth the experiment. but the Patriots never needed Moss, even though he made them better in the short term. just look at how goo dthey are now without him -- no noticeable difference.

with Moss it is only a matter of time until he can no longer resist his innate urge to focus on himself. usually he starts happy, and how long that continues is simply a matter of how long he is successful. the Brady-Moss connection was no longer as prolific as it was in year one and Moss wasn't happy, and it began to show, especially since the Pats were still winning and didn't give a shit whether he was happy or not. The Titans don't have that luxury, despite Fisher being the coach.

this won't end well for the Titans.

Moss is Moss, he will never change, even playing for Brady and Belicheck, things fell apart.

Now I see Favre helping completely detonate the Vikings with comments like, "you play for yourself first, team second" and "I don't get along with the coaching staff".

Though he did say the obvious in that the staff of the Vikings should have known the this is how Moss plays, runs hard on some plays, backs off on others.

This is going to set the Vikings back for years.
