Caterer Says Randy Moss Lashed Out, Bashed Post-Practice Meal
    http://nfl.fanhouse.com/2010/11/03/caterer-says-randy-moss-lashed-out-bashed-post-practice-meal/

Randy MossThe Vikings' decision to waive Randy Moss may have been spurred in part by Moss' alleged tirade over a post-practice meal, according to a story first reported by Yahoo! Sports on Tuesday.

The story was later corroborated by Gus Tinucci, co-owner of Tinucci's Restaurant and Catering, which set up the buffet spread that Moss allegedly criticized in an expletive-laced blowup last Friday afternoon. Tinucci told the St. Paul Pioneer Press that Moss was so unhappy with the buffet that he even refused to eat any of it after his rant.

"We had the whole buffet set up, and we had a nice spread -- chicken, ribs, round of beef with a carving station, the whole deal," Tinucci told the Pioneer Press. "(Moss) comes in, and I'm helping one of the guys and didn't look up, and all of a sudden I heard, 'What the (expletive) is this? I wouldn't feed this (expletive expletive) to my (expletive) dog!' And he's screaming it at the top of his lungs."

Tinucci told the Pioneer Press that only one Viking intervened, telling Moss to "shut the (expletive) up," but that Brett Favre also seemed to disapprove of Moss' actions. Tinucci said a Vikings locker-room attendant later apologized to him. "He said, 'Don't worry about it, Gus, he's an (expletive). He's done this every time we've had food,'" Tinucci told the newspaper.

An anonymous player who witnessed the scene told Yahoo! Sports! there was a very uncomfortable feeling afterward and that Moss "deserved to be cut after that."

"You know that feeling where you just can tell someone feels so small? That's what it was like being there," the player told the website.

According to the player's account, the food "was actually really good," but Moss was so unhappy that he wound up at his locker saying, "You know, I used to have to eat that crap -- but now I've got money."

Tinucci's Restaurant, which has been in business since 1958, is reportedly a favorite of former Vikings center Matt Birk, now with the Baltimore Ravens. When asked what he thought of Moss' outburst, the six-time Pro Bowler told the Pioneer Press: "Some people don't have any taste. Some people don't have any manners. And some people don't have either."

RT @RapSheet: Randy Moss is willing to sit out the season if he doesn't like the team that claims him, I'm told by a source close to Moss

Citing a source close to Randy Moss, Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald reports that Moss would be willing to sit out the remainder of the season if he dislikes the team that claims him off waivers.
Moss "wants a ring" from the team that claims him, says the source. Moss and his agent, Joel Segal, have likely made the wide receiver's feelings known throughout the league. Obviously, it's going to be a prohibitive factor for less competitive clubs. According to Rapoport, Moss visited the Jets' facility on Tuesday because "He sees their potential and realizes their lack of deep threat." Moss apparently isn't a big Braylon Edwards fan.

what a dumb fuck. if he needs any more hits to his reputation, which will only cost him more money next season, he should sit out. if he wants to get one more nice contract, he better suit up, shut the fuck up and perform.

TO should be his benchmark. eventually teams lose patience for loud mouth, aging receivers and the well dries up quick. and if he sits out, especially considering his output this season, not many teams will have any interest in him, nevertheless at any semblance of a decent payday.

All the more reason for the Jets to tell him to fuck off.

Damn, seems like he really might be posturing to try and get back to the Pats. I'm really not sure if I even want that. But either way it seems conceivable that everyone will want to pass on him with the waivers and then try and see where he wants to go for a league minimum free agent deal. He's shown he's completely toxic if he's not invested in a team, so claiming him would be a huge risk. Also, thought I heard somewhere the Jets passed on him with waivers? Does that mean that everyone else below them already did so because he wouldn't have kept going? Or does he just pass through all 32 teams and we only find out which ones put in a waiver claim after everyone gets a chance?

I couldn't imagine the Jets letting him pass through waivers. I think their attitude would be fuck it!!! Sit out the rest of the season as long as you don't get back to the Pats. It's gonna cost us what 400K? If you show up great if not oh well.

fuck that...it only took Randy 4 weeks to cripple the Vikes locker room. We have enough personalities in our locker room....and everyone is content with the chemistry as is.

Looked into it, was told If Moss doesn't report to new team, team can serve 5-day letter. After 5 days, goes on reserve/did not report list.
.. Moss would then be sitting, unpaid, as the season went by. Some teams wouldn't mind this scenario, like I tweeted earlier.
