Ok, I'll just come out with it . . . Gus Johnson is one of the most overrated Play-by-play announcers in all of sports. His exuberance is often over the top and I find it rather annoying. Also, he is EASILY the worst Play-by-play guy ever to get the Madden gig.

What is the Madden gig?

 

I hate Gus "yell at everything" Johnson. He the perfect example of everything that's wrong with play-by-play guys nowadays.
I'd rather have John Sterling do the play-by-play and Joe Morgan do the color commentary. That's how serious I am about this.

Is our game really that bad that we get te bottom of the CBS announcing lineup?

 

Well we are playing Detroit, not exactly a big draw.

 

I know but we are a big draw, it's rare we get the worst announcers. I don't think Gus is bad but he's one of the bottom tier guys according to CBS. Usuaully the lowest we get is Ian Eagle who I believe is on CBS' #3 team.

 

Where is Phil Simms does he have off?

I'd listen to Gus Johnson 24x7....if it meant I'd never hear Dierdorf's dumbfuckery ever again.

 

Better than Greg Gumble and Dan Dierdorf every week. Although, I'd rather have Ian Eagle. Ah well.

 

Can't say I'd miss Dierdorf telling us how well B.Smith runs the Seminole offense
