I would have loved to have witnessed Sanchez peeling out...and leaving your kid in a cloud of dust/exhaust fumes.

Just for the sheer comedic quality of the situation.

It kinda reminds me of the scene in Dumb & Dumber when that blind kid realizes NYJ2K10 sold him that dead bird.

I always believed having a true conversation with an athlete or celebrity.

It means more than a simple signature.

Sanchez is a boss, he does what he wants, when he wants.

couldnt agree more. even if sanchez agreed to sign the piece of paper would prob just end up with boogers and doodie on it while the memory of meeting him albeit brief will last a life time.

I don't have Rick Pitino's autograph, but I got to meet him to 5 minutes with my father when I was 12.

I'll never forget that I shook hands with a legend and he that he was excited for next season and my father mentioned the interview he did on WFAN recently and how well that went. He was a pure gentleman. I'll always respect and admire Pitino for that.

I have John Conner's autograph, we didn't talk much beyond "Hey John good luck this season" and Thank You". It wasn't as memorable.

I understand they don't hold the same notoriety, but Conner is my peer due to age. If we talked about XBOX and TV shows, it would definitely beat out the Pitino conversation and be memorable beyond a signature.

Wow, for someone who starts a thread calling someone else a dick, you are really sensitive to criticism.

After a loss like they had, I wouldn't be surprised if he ignored his mother that day.
It sucks for your son, but I would be honest with you, they need to start putting age limits going to games now, for what goes on there. PG-13

It sucks for your kid...if I was kid I would be crushed. But heres a thought...maybe Sanchez just didnt want to fucking do it? I hate how some people think just cause these athletes make a shit load of cash then that entitles you, the fan, to get something from them.

If Im Sanchez...Im sitting in the players parking lot for two reasons. One, Im on the phone and in NJ I cant drive while talking so rather than risk getting a ticket and being on the front page of the Post with some shit headline like "Phoning It In!!" I'll sit here and finish my call.

Two, I'm in the fucking players parking lot...where I should be safe from guys who cant wait to call me a dick on a message board and their kids. Did you ever have a real shitty day at the office then get in your car to go home only to have some dude at the red light try to sell you flowers or oranges? You wouldnt want to bother with the guy and rather than roll down your window and strangle the bastard you just ignore him and drive away.

I once saw Keyshawn (sp) Johnson at a hotel when he was still a Jet. A crowd of kids ran up to him asking for autographs...he looked right at them and said, "I don't sign nothin" and proceed to walk right through the crowd of them. Now thats a dick.

Amen, stop fucking crying about it as well.

Life goes on. I love how people expect players on the team to stop at their every call and do whatever they ask.

I think you hit the nail on the head. When is it ok for the player to be left alone? Is that up to the fans to decide. Well, you play for the Jets, I don't care where you are, sign this or I will hate you forever.

There is a time and a place for everything. In the players parking lot after a loss is not that time and place. *rolls up window and peels out*

Who hasn't been ignored for an autograph? Join the club. Put your self in a star athlete's shoes. Every game there are 80,000 ppl who want an autograph. Every where the guy goes he is getting requests to sign shit. He just pitched a goose egg. He was probably in no mood to sign stuff. Especially in the sanctity of his parking lot.

Can't you hear him saying to himself, 'Can I get away from this shit just for a minute'. Give the guy a break.

You guys don't understand. They had VIP tickets. Mark should have given him a piggyback ride and let him do donuts in the parking lot with his car.

I don't believe any of the posters that claim that they wouldn't value an autographed item they got personally from a player.

I wouldn't. Why do I give shit if Sanchez (or anyone else) signs anything for me unless it is a check?
