THIS... Maybe he didn't play as awful as some are saying, but he sure as hell did not play a good game, drops or not. He never at any point in time during the game looked like he was in control of it. IMO, you cannot play well if you are so "lost".
He missed a WIDE OPEN B. Edwards on two separate plays... both would have most likely been TDs... He didn't have a horrible game but he didn't have a good game either... You gotta see those plays.. I mean B. Edwards is pretty hard to miss I'd think.
As explained earlier, in the EZ play Braylon was his 3rd or 4th read, Sanchez hit his first read and completed it for a first down. He's still a 2nd year QB, maybe in the future he'll recognize a coverage better and realize that his deep option was in single coverage. This debate is getting old though, I have to stop replying but I can't. Watch Revis' video on the the Jets ESPN page, as well as Dilfer's
I replied to you in the Braylon thread about this very thing. Lol read it there I hate quoting myself.....
You didn't fix shit. The offensive line didn't open up holes and they had multiple drive killing holding penalties.
It is 'good' when you go through progressions and hit an open receiver for a first down. It is 'great' when going through your progressions you are able to notice that you should skip your 2nd read which is open and opt for your third read and then hit him for a 90 yard TD.
I am not sure where you went to school, but the key on my report card always said A=excellent B=good. So I am glad we can agree he played good.
Maybe you missed the premisis of the thread. Let me reiterate....In spite of the statistics, if you consider the 7 drops and 2 INTs which were really fumbles, he played a good game.
